Achievements and perforniance
The organisation seeks to spread the Christian message in needy nations of the world, particularly in
Africa and Asia, where people are largely unreached with the Christian gospel.
. The organisation has supported a total of over 200 national pastors to date
. A neI￿Ork for campaign evangelists has been established
Many pastors have been helped to build church buildings
Gospel literature and training books have been supplied to pastors and church workers in our target
areas
Hundreds of bicycles have been donated to national pastors for transport
Thousands of national pastors have attended regional training cOnferen￿S
The organisation is also involved in producing satellite broadcasts to Asia
A national training centre is currently being built in Kenya
Financial review
The charitable company has continued to be supported by donations and received total income of
£94,700 and expenses in the year of £98,454, resulting in a deficit for the year of £345 all of which
related to unrestricted funds.
Public benefits
The directors believe that our purpose satisfies both elements of the public benefit requirement. The
direct benefits which flow from our purpose are the spread of the Christian gospel to areas of the
world where it has not yet reached, the establishment of new churches in areas of the world where
there was previously no church and the support and the training and equipping of churches and
church workers in such areas.
Local people benefit by having aC￿sS to a local church and the pastoral care, counsel and advice of
a trained pastor. Native pastors benefit from financial support as they establish a new church,
additional training and the provision of literature and bicycles for transport in their work. The benefits
can be demonstrated through regular reports and statistics from national leaders in our target nations
and regular visits made by UK based leaders of Reach the Unreached Ministries.
There is a potential for harm in sending staff to remote areas of Africa and Asia but this is mitigated by
carefully following HM Foreign and Commonwealth Office advi￿ plus the advice of trusted local
leaders and contacts and is necessary to achieving the purpose. There are no private benefits flowing
from our purpose.
In setting objectives and planning our activities for the year, the trustees have given careful
consideration to the Charity Commission for Northem Ireland's guidan￿ on public benefit to ensure
that the activities have helped achieve the Charity's purposes and provide a benefit to the
beneficiaries.

The principal accounting policies applied in the preparation of these financial statements are set out
below. These policies have been consistently applied to all the years presented, unless othemise
stated.
Statement of compliance
The financial statements have been prepared in accordan￿ with Accounting and Reporting by
Charities: Statement of Recommended practi￿ (applicable to charities preparing their accounts in
accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS
102)} (issued in October 20191 (Charities SORP {FRS 1021). the Financial Reporting Standard
applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102) and the Companies Act 2006.
Basis of preparation
Reach the Unreached Ministries Limited meets the definition of a public benefit entity under FRS 102.
Assets and liabilities are initially recognised at historical cost or transaction value unless othemise
stated in the relevant accounting policy notes.
Going concern
The financial statements have been prepared on a going concem basis.
The trustees assess whether the use of going concern is appropriate i.e. whether there are any
material uncertainties related to events or conditions that may cast significant doubt on the ability of
the charity to continue as a going concern. The trustees make this assessment in respect of a period
of one year from the date of approval of the financial statements.

Page 8

Incoming resources
All incoming resources are included in the statement of financial activities when entitlement has
passed to the charity- it is probable that the economic benefits associated with the transaction will flow
to the charity and the amount can be reliably measured. The following specific policies are applied to
particular categories of income-
income from donations or grants is recognised when there is eviden￿ of entitlement to the gift,
re￿Ipt is probable and its amount can be measured reliably.
legacy income is recognised when receipt is probable and entitlement is established.
Income from donated goods is measured at the fair value of the goods unless this is impractical to
measure reliably, in which case the value is derived from the cost to the donor or the estimated resale
value. Donated facilities and SeNi￿S are recognised in the accounts when re￿iVed if the value can
be reliably measured. No amounts are included for the contribution of general volunteers.
Income from contracts for the supply of serVi￿S is recognised with the delivery of the contracted
service. This is classified as unrestricted funds unless there is a contractual requirement for it to be
spent on a particular purpose and retumed if unspent. in which case it may be regarded as restricted.
Resources expended
Expenditure is recognised on an accruals basis as a liability is incurred. Expenditure includes any
VAT which cannot be fully recovered, and is classified under headings of the statement of financial
activities to which it relates..
Expenditure on raising funds includes the costs of all fijndraising activities, events, non-charitable
trading activities, and the sale of donated goods.
Expenditure on charitable activities includes all costs incurred by a charity in undertaking activities
that further its charitable aims for the benefit of its beneficiaries, including those support costs and
costs relating to the g0Veman￿ of the charity apportioned to charitable activities.
Other expenditure includes all expenditure that is neither related to raising funds for the charity nor
part of its expenditure on charitable activities.
All costs are allocated to expenditure categories reflecting the use of the resource. Direct costs
attributable to a single activity are allocated directly to that activity. Shared costs are apportioned
be￿een the activities they contribute to on a reasonable. justifiable and consistent basis.
Support costs
Support costs include central functions and have been allocated to activity cost categories on a basis
consistent with the use of resources, for example, allocating propety costs by floor areas, or per
capita, staff costs by the time spent and other costs by their usage.
Tangible fixed assets
Individual fixed assets are initially recorded at cost. less any subsequent accumulated depreciation
and subsequent accumulated impairment losses.
Page 9

Reach the Unreached Ministries Limited
Notes to the Financial Statements for the Year Ended 31 August 2024
Depreciation and amortisation
Depreciation is provided on tangible fixed assets so as to write off the cost or valuation, less any
estimated residual value, over their expected useful economic life as follows"
Asset class
Fixtures, fittings and equipment
Depreciation method and rate
25 % reducing balance
Impairment of fixed assets
A review for indicators of impairment is carried out at each reporting date, with the recoverable
amount being estimated where such indicators exist. Where the carrying value exceeds the
recoverable amount, the asset is impaired accordingly. Prior impairments are also reviewed for
possible reversal at each reporting date.
For the purposes of impairment testing, when it is not possible to estimate the recoverable amount of
an individual asset, an estimate is made of the recoverable amount of the cash-generating unit to
which the asset belongs. The cash-generating unit is the smallest identifiable group of assets that
includes the asset and generates cash inflows that largely independent of the cash inflows from other
assets or groups of assets.
For impairment testing of goodwill. the goodwill acquired in a business combination is, from the
acquisition date, allocated to each of the cash-generating units that are expected to benefit from the
synergies of the combination, irrespective of whether other assets or liabilities of the charity are
assigned to those units.
Financial instruments
Financial assets and financial liabilities are recognised when the charity becomes a party to the
contractual provisions of the instrument.
Financial liabilities and equity instruments are classified according to the Substan￿ of the contractual
arrangements entered into. An equity instrument is any contract that evidences a residual interest in
the assets of the charity after deducting all of its liabilities.
