Our expenditure in 23124 was £23,305.02 and our income was £30,829.76 and we carried over £3560.14 from 22123 which resulted in an overall closing balance of £ £ 11,084.88 to be carried forward to 24125. SHINE Autism Support Group provide services which our children are very often excluded from due to their additional needs. We run a summer scheme, organise training via other organisations, day trips, social skills training, self-esteem training as well as providing a parents support group with childminding facilities for child with autism and their siblings. Autism is a lifelong disability which affects the social and communication centre of the brain. SHINE aims to support parents of children with ASD both pre and post diagnosis. To increase public awareness of the condition. To support children and young people with ASD and their siblings.

In the year 23124 SHINE funded We held a summer scheme for two weeks which was attended by 83 children and provided the children with games, Drama groups, Arts and Crafts, Cookery classes, Animal visit, gaming station, Ice cream machine, trip to W5 and trip to cinema. We rented St Clares Nursery premises for our summer scheme which was ideal as we had a sensory garden and room divisions which worked out well. We also ran a 10+ summer scheme and used Blackmountain Shared Space. We had 45 young people aged 10 to 18. We attended Antrim Castle enchanted gardens as a family trip on a night dedicated to children with additional needs. Income Unrestricted income in the year was £10957.76 which included monthly donations for the year as well as our private fundraiser. Restricted income from Children in Need was £10000 and £9872 from awards for All.
