– Mullabrack Rural Community Group AGM Report for Year ending 31[st] December 2022

As we celebrate the seventeenth AGM of Mullabrack Rural Community Group it has been a relief to see things opening up again and events being planned after the lockdown for the last couple of years due to Covid-19.

Again, over the period there has been sickness within the group and we continue to keep these friends and colleagues in our thoughts and prayers and wish them good health in the near future.

Our accounts started with a balance of £2283.46 and closed with £2668.09 and this is as a result of increased activities over the past 12 months and being able to access some grant funding.

We received grant funding from DAERA and this allowed us to purchase kitchen items which can be used when running events. We also received a £400 grant from the ABC council to celebrate the Jubilee of her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. This allowed the group to organise a BBQ.

The group also held a successful Bangers and Bingo Night which was enjoyed by all, and we held our annual Christmas hamper draw.

We were able to also run our two charitable events a Harvest service and Carol Service with the proceeds being presented to B Positive a local charity. Our previous years charitable collections went to the Cancer fund for children.

Once again, the usual thanks to my Vice Chairperson Laura, Heather our treasurer, Neill our secretary and indeed all the committee members for their continued commitment.

Further funding opportunities should be available in 2023 which we hope to be able to obtain to assist the group.
