PURPOSES.
The purposes of Enniskillen District Masonic Charity Committee are l. The Relief of Poverty,
2. Medical Research and 3. The provlslon of Teddles to sick and injured children in hospltal
emergency departments and urgent care centres.
The beneficiaries of purpose l. are restricted to Freemasons, their wives, children and
families and the families and widows of deceased Freemasons whether situated in Ireland
or overseas. The beneficiaries of purposes 2 and 3 are the general public.

In respect of purpose I during 2022 we were able to assist with the provision of 340
annuities to persons who were experiencing financial hardship. Locally and in addition, we
were also able to assist with the payment of £9,282.00 to applicants suffering acute financial
distress in Tyrone and Fermanagh. Further afield we assisted with the payment of grants
totalling £25,110.00 and £49,856.00 to applicants suffering acute financial distress. The
provision of these payments has resulted in considerable improvements to the general
wellbeing of the recipients.
In relation to purpose 3 in 2022 we were able to assist with the purchase and distribution of
720 Teddies to the Emergency Department of the South West Acute Hospital and the Urgent
Care Centre Omagh. The provision of a Teddy to a sick or injured child at the discretion of
medical staff can and does have a calming effett on the child, reduces stress in the
parent/guardian, allows the child to be dealt with quicker and reduces waiting time for
other patients.
The Trustees have at all times had regard for the Public Benefit Guidance issued by the
Charity Commission for Northern Ireland in all decisions where the Guidance was relevant,
Our financial position at the end of 2022 is as set out in our Receipts and Payments Account
and Statement of Assets and Liabilities.
The work of Enniskillen District Masonic Charity Committee is only possible with the support
of all the Masonic Bodies who year after year give us their support with financial donations
and to whom we are indebted.
