History of the group to-date

The Group was established to promote rural regeneration for the benefit of the public, to relieve poverty, unemployment, youth and the aged and promote the protection and preservation of health of and to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Ballinamallard and its hinterland without distinction of age, gender, sexuality, nationality, ethnic identity, disability, political or religious opinion. The Group applied for and was successful in achieving Charity Registration on the 11th March 2016 - Reg No NIC103230.

Accommodation Our official title is known as The Ballinamallard Support Group in short, The Group. We base ourselves at the above address, Ferney Park, premises owned by Ballinamallard United FC. We meet on average about six times a year. We are very content with the location and arrangements at the Football Club and there is never a problem with us using the facilities. We share the building with three groups affiliated to us, the Mallard Flyer's Cycling Club, the Fermanagh Stroke Association now known as The Stroke Warriors (Fermanagh) and a fitness group known as Brian Cleary Fitness Group. The Flyer's meet regularly using the facilities at least twice a week, the Fitness Group meet three times a week however the Stroke Association use the facilities only about twice a year as they have other venues to avail off.

Main activities of the Group through-out the year Our main activities are improving the facilities within the Club House we use at BUFC thereby maintaining a safe, comfortable, warm and cosy environment within the building for all users and to provide Grant Aid when it becomes available to help the community in which we live. We were able to secure a DAERA grant of £1968.24 this year which replaced the old ceiling in the Club House. Also, a DAERA Rural Micro Capital Grant for £2428.80 was obtained to buy a camera which assists with the development of the youth & senior football teams at The Club and also available for our partners attached to The Group or indeed future Stake Holders. These improvements made through Grant Aid benefit all the community in the area and further afield. We feel, therefore that the main achievements of the Charity have been met and we can report that the Trustees have complied with their duties regarding the guidance issued by the Commission.
