authority in the maintenance and management ol s￿h a Centre for activitÉes prO￿ted by
the Association and its constituent bodies in furtherance of the above objects.
The A550ciatlUn Is governed by its constitution. The management committee is also the Charity
Trustee5 for the purpose Df charity law and all give their time voluntarity-

The Sarsfields Community Hall Management Group has now completed thirteen years of running
Sarsfields Hall and maximising use of the hall for the local Community.
December 2022 saw the Christmas Tree switth on event with Santa and Craft Fayie and the Senlor
Citizens. Christmas dinner took place for the first time since CovKI-19 in the Hall.
Out St. Patrick's Day event also iwk place foi the first time since Covid and was a great success with
collaboration from the Youth aub leader5. A number of activities took place in the Hall overthe
vear includin8 a 6-week pilètes course, hxal history book launch. b3by café, line dancing classes,
Senior Citizens, Club, Youth Club, Ir￿h dancing clas5e5. The Hall was a150 available for birthday party
booking5. The Hall continue5 to be well used by the whole community for a ranEe of activitie5.
Electrical work was cornpleted. fireliBhtin8 equipment checked and a fire rish assessment carried
out. We aTe working towards addriional improvements to the Hall. particularty in relat￿Tr to energy
efficiency.
Thank you to all who have supported the Hall over the year including Am)agh, B3nbridge and
Crlagavon Borough Council and to our local community. Thank5 are also due to the committee
members for their dedication and hard work. We ask you all foryour continued SLEPPOrt.

The Trustees believe that the publk continue to benefft from the activfties outlined above In
atcordance with our purposes and obiects. Through our work the beneficiaries l.e. those living in the
area of benefft of Derrytrasn8 and its enwrons, have accessed a variety of activities and classes
therefore reduclng rnral and social isolation. increase usagè of a vital community resource out of
whlch community aciivity is focussed, increase in actNe citizenship and volunteerin& increase in new
skllls and Inte￿$ts and Improvement in quality of life.

FINANCES
Our financial performance has been sound. Income has been obtained through grant5 from Armagh,
Banbridge & Cralgavon BofQU@h COU￿11 alld thrO￿h hall ￿nI81 and donations. Costs have been
managed carefully to ensure we have a small surplus foi the year.
