FOYLE WOMENS INFORMATION NETWORK INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF FOYLE WOMENS INFORMATION NETWORK YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2024
I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31 March 2024 which are set out on pages 8 to 16.
RESPECTIVE RESPONSIBILITIES OF TRUSTEES AND EXAMINER
As the charity directors you are responsible for the prepara4on of the accounts. The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year and that an independent examina'on is needed. It is the trustees’ responsibility to; - examine the accounts under sec$on 65 of the Chari$es Act 2008. - follow the procedures laid down in the general direc&ons given by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland under sec&on 65(9)(b) of the Chari"es Act 2008. - state whether parcular ma/ers have come to our a/enon.
BASIS OF INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S STATEMENT
My examinaon includes a review of the accounng records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes considera0on of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explana5ons from you as trustees concerning any such ma0ers. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fair view' and the report is limited to those ma#ers set out in the statement below.
INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S STATEMENT
In connec'on with my examina'on, no ma1er has come to my aen,on: (1) which gives me reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requirements: • to keep accoun&ng records in accordance with sec&on 27 of the Chari&es Act (Northern Ireland) 1964; and • to prepare accounts which accord with the accoun.ng records and comply with the accounng requirements of that Act have not been met; or (2) to which, in my opinion, a"en%on should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
