Both Company law and Chanty law r8qulre the dlrectorsltrustees to prepare financlal stal8ment for each financial year.
Under these laws the dlreclorsltru51ees have elected to prepare the financial statements in accordance wlth United
Klngdom Generally Accepted Accountlng Pradlce (United Klngdom Accounllng Standard5 and applicable law). Under
these laws the directorsltruslee5 must not approve the financial statemen15 unless they are satisfied that they give a
true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charitable company and of the surplus or deficit of the company fur that
period.
In preparing these financlal statements, the directorsltrustees are required to:

state whether applicable accounting standards and statements of recommended practice have been followed

opinion5 by associating the statutory aLrthorlties. voluntary organisatlons, Instilutlons and Inhabitants in a common
effort to advance education and to provlde facilltles In the Interests of sccial welfare for health, recreatlon, social, moral
and Intellectual development wtth the object of Improvlng the conditions of life of Éhe inhabitant5 of the area of benefit.
Public Benefit
The dlrect benefits which flow from the groups purposes Include provision of a range of social. educational and
recreational activities malnly based wlthln Aughakillymaude Communlty Centre for members of the local community
Ilving wllhin Ihe community of Aughakillymaude and surrounding district, providing Ihem with the opportunity to avail of
activities that improve their educational attainment, health, social interdction and their conditlons of lif8 through
ac￿ssing services and activiti85 that would not normally b8 Made avallable to them. Exafflples of activities provided
being social dandng, hlstorical talks, mummlng actlvltles, funeral teas, famlly partles, annlversary parties, keep fit,
famiers informatlon courses & talks, health falrs, music & storytelling Sessions, and used by other charitable bodies for
acllvltles and functions. Many of these activilies are organlsed by the associatlon Ilnklng wllh olher statutory
organisation5 and voluntary organlsatlons. Benefits of the activities are evIden￿d by measurement of numbe[5
participating in activities and receNing of feedback frotn patticipanls. The only private b8n8fftflowing from our purposes
are that Aughakillymaude Cornmunity Association members and Iheir families can participate in all activilles and thls Is
incldenlal and necessary lo ensure that all members of the distThct can potentially benefiL There Is no ham] flowing from
the purposes of Aughaklllymaude Communlty AssociatlDn. We have had regard to the Commisslon's guldance on
publlc benefiL
Main achievements in the year
A successful Santa Sunday and raffle event was held in December 2022. The assoclatlon recelved donation5 and a
number of rental payments for Ihe hall and apartment during the year.
The association retalned an adequate bank balance al the year end and does not anticipate any issues in continuing as
a going concem in the foreseeable future. It is the hope of the trustees that activities begin lo return to pr8-covld levels.
Members, Fund
At the year end, Aughakillymaude Ccmmunlty Association had a members, fund of £318.8OB. It is the policy of the
Aughakillymaude Community Association to retain a levsl to cover any unforeseen expendilLJre and allow the charity to
conlinue in operation.
Summary for the year
During the year ended 31 March 2023, Aughakillymaude Communlty Association produced a deficit of (£7,455) {2022:
(£7,526)). Income In¢rea5ed by £299. The directDrs and truslees do not foresee any financial issues in the foreseeable
future and are proud of the achievernents during this year.
