The trustees present their Trustees, Annual Report and the unaudited financial statements for the year ended 31
March 2024. The financial statements have been prepared in arxordance with the accounting policies sel out in Note
1 to the financial statemenls and comply wilh the company's Articles of Assoclation. the Companies Ad 2006, Part 8
of the Charities Act {Northem Ireland) 2008, other applicable law and the requirements of the Slatement of
Recommended Practi￿ ISORPI, FRS102 and with the financial reporting standards applicable lo charities preparing
their accounts.
GOVERNING DOCUMENT
The organisation is a privale Gharilable company limited by guarantee, having been in¢oq)orated on 7 August 2013.
The company was established under a Memorandum of Association which established the objects and powers of the
charitable company and is governed under its Article of Association. In the event of the company being wound up
members are required to contribute an amount not exceeding £1.
Structure, Govemance and Management
The charity is committed to Ihe principles of Corporate Governance- and through the development of various
manuals, will capture all intemal and extemal proosses and procedure5. The detailing of the company's activilies in
Ihis way will ensure we follow best practice guidelines and demonslrate appropriate openness, transp8renGy and
accountability in all of our business aclivities.
Embracing Corporate Govemance ensures that as an organisation we adhere to the highest standards of integrity in
carrying out our business and managing our finances. The company is fully aware of ils responsibilities and the need
for accountability, particularly in relation to the management of public money.
Principal Rlsks and Uncertainties
The directors have conducted a review of the major risks to which the charity is exposed. Appropriate systems and
intemal controls are in place throughout the charity's processes and procedures to provide clear accountability and to
mitigate those risks which the chartly faces.

Objectlves and Activities
The objects of Involve (Nl) as set out in our Articles is the promotion of education, Iraining and personal development
with a view to enabling the community to enhance their social and personal skills, develop and participate in valued
roles in the community and athieve a level of independence.
Involve (Nl) also aims lo advance cilizenship and Community development through the provision of opportunitles for
social interaction and social inclusion whiGh support, enrich and empower the community.. and the development of
programmes wtth other partnerships and provision of serviGes which promote choi¢e, opportunity, independen￿,
equality and health and wellbeing.
Public Benefit ststement
In setting our objectives and planning our aclivilies for the year the trustees have given careful consideration to the
Charity Commission for Northern Ireland's guidan￿ on public benefil to ensure activities have helped to achieve the
charity's purpose and provide a benefit to the beneficiaries.
InVOLve {Nll is solely run by volunteers who ensure InVOLve meet their objectives.
InVOLve (Nl) has three venues which caters for the local Community and facilitates Mid Ulster Volunteer Cenlfe and
The Base.
InVOLve {Nll was set up to meet the needs of the community crealing a shared space for those living with a disabilty
andlor disadvantage.
InVOLve (Nl) enables community integration in a shared space for people from all backgrounds and communities
regardless of age, disability, gender, sexual orientation, religion. race or where they live.
Achievements and Performance
This annual report will give an overview of the WOTk of InVOLve (Nl) during 2023 - 2024. InVOLve (Nl) believe that
they are meeting their objectives.
InVOLve (Nl) have 3 premises in Antrim, Cookstown and in particular InVOLve House, As a community building,
InVOLve House has hosted more than 25 community groups and, on some days, up to 60 people who have used the
facilities for trainin9, workshops and activities throughout the year, including parenting classes, kid-focused
workshops, soft sports activities, volunteer training, counselling, luntheon clubs, winter wamiers, chair exercises and
more.
InVOLve House serves a wide variety of groups and is dedicated to providing a secure environment. This year, the
space has been utilised by a number of Gommunity programs, including FACTS, Inspire Wellbeing, Recovery
College. NOW Group, Mindwise, Down Syndrome Association, Cancer Focus, Disability Action, Belfast Central
Mission, Alzheimerfs SoGÉety, and Stsrt360.
We strive to serve all organisations and think we offer a much-needed facility. Everything we do is based on
accessibility and inclusion. Our goals are to address Iraining needs and promote invoFvemenl for individuals who feel
socially excluded.
We offer volunteer opportunities to support the running of the premises and those who attend activities. We try were
possible to help out local charities access our building with one off project and again Ihis year we offered Hope
Magherafelt Ihe use of our building for free to help with their Christmas PJ appeal. Helping to store and wrap PJ'S.

The goal of InVOLve House has been to create a communty centre that provides a safe environment for people to
engage in activities, meet new people, interact with one another, and maintsin their health.Social determinants are the
systemi¢ forces, policies and regulations that have a long-lerm impaot on a community. Access to services such as
InVOLve House and the activilies thal take place in InVOLve House, we believe helps bring communities logelher in a
neutral venue ￿ntrallY located in Magherafelt. Engaging people from under-represenled groups increases their
participation in community life and builds awareness ol for example disability, health issues elc. They bring a different
perspective and breaks down barriers.
We were delighted to receive the Communty Venues Grant, Mid Ulster District Council, which went towards
supporting the ever-increasing running cosls of InVOLve House.
InVOLve House and our premises in Cookstown accommodate Mid Ulster Volunteer Centre offices and Northem
Health and Social Care Trusl, The Base which provides an altemative to traditional dayvcare. This is a project for local
people with leaming disabilities which empowers them to access local community serVI￿S and facilities and facilitales
social inclusion and the development of friendships.
InVOLve {Nl) partnership with the Northern Health and Social Care Trust {NHSCT) ended in June 2023. We no longer
facilitate the Base Anlrim, but we are delighted the Trust themselves have continued to provide this much needed
seNice. The board, staff and volunteers of InVOLve wish Antrim Base all the best.

Principal Fundlng sources
Aside from income generated by Involve (Nl) through their seNices, the principal funding sources for Involve {Nl}
is currently by way of grant and contract income.
Financial Review
In 2023124 tolal incoming resources were £81,106 (202212023: £82,729)
During the year the charity was fortunate enough to receive support from a number of sources including the Northem
Health and Social Care Trust, Mid Ulster Council and CWSAN.
Total expenditure for 2023124 was £98,607 {202212023'. £85.704)
The charity was in a reasonably healthy financial p05ition at the yeaf-end, with net Gurrent assets of £23,914.
The trustees confirm that since the year*nd, it is not aware of any events that would have a material detrimental
impact on its position.
Reserves policy
The trustees ol Involve {Nll have set a reseNes policy which requires:
The charity to maintain a level of reserves which meels the needs of the project both at the current tirne and in the
foreseeable future. The level of reserves held are based on the need to fund unexpected expendilure and to ensure
that il can fund any shortfalls in income. should income not reach expected levels.
The Board of Directors will be responsible for monitoring the level of reserves on a monlhly basis.
This policy will be reviewed every three years in line with the strategic planning cycle.

STATEMENT OF TRUSTEES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND DECLARATION
ON UNAUDITED FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
The trustees are responsible for preparing the financial statements in accordan￿ with applicable law and regulations.
Company law requires the trustees as the directors to prepare financial statements for each financial year. Under that
law the trustees have elected to prepare the financial statements in a¢cordano with Untted Kingdom Generally
Accepted Accounting Pradice (United Kingdom Accounting Standards and applicable law}. Under charitable company
law the Irustees must not approve the financial slatements unless they are satisfied that they give a true and fair view
of the state of affairs of the charity and of the net income or expenditure of the charity for that period. In preparing
these financial statements, the trustees are required to:
select suitable a¢counting policies and apply them ¢onsislently;
Make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent;
Observe the methods and principles in the Charites SORP",
state whether the Charities SORP (effective January 2015) in accordance with FRS 102 has been followed.,
prepare the financial statements on the going ￿n￿rn basis unless it is inappropriate to presume Ihat the charity
will continue in operation.
The trustees are responsible ft)r keeping proper accounting records which disdose with reasonable accuracy at any
time the financial posilion of the charity and to enable them to ensure that the finanoal statements comply with , and
all Regulations to be construed as one wilh that Act. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the
charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
Trustees, declaration on unaudited financial statements
In relation to the financial slatements comprising the Statement of Financial Activwties, the Balance Sheet. the
Accounting policies, ap￿YIng them consistently and making. on a reasonable and prudent basis. the judgement's
underlying them. The have been prepared in the goin9 GOn￿M basis on the grounds that the charity will continue in
opefation.
The trustees confimi that have made available to R T J Ross & Co , Chartered Ac￿Unt8nts. all the charity's
accounting records and provided all the infomiation, books and documents necessary for the compilation of the
financial statements.
The trustees confimi that to Ihe best of their knowledge and belief. the accounting records refiect all the transadions
of the charity for the year ended 31 March 2024.
Special provisions relating to small companles
The above report has been prepared in accordaft￿ with the special provisions relating to small companies within
Part 15 of the Companies Act 2006.
