The trustees present their Trustees, Annual Report and the unaudited financial statements for the year ended 31
March 2023. The financial statements have been prepared in accordan￿ with the accounting policies set out in Note
1 to the financial statements and comply with the company's Artides of Association, Ihe Companies Act 2006, Part 8
of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008, other applicable law and the requirements of the Statement of
Recommended practi￿ (SORP). FRS102 and with the financial reporting slandards applicable to charities preparing
their accounts.
GOVERNING DOCUMENT
The organisation is a private charitable company limited by guarantee. having been incorporated on 7 August 2013.
The company was established under a Memorandum of Association which established the objects and powers of the
charitable company and is govemed under ils Article of Association. In the event of the company being wound up
members are required lo contribute an amount not eX￿eding £1.
Structure. Govemance and Management
The charity is committed lo the principles of Corporate Governance- and through the development of various
manuals, will capture all intemal and external pro￿sseS and Pro￿dures. The detailing of the company's adivities in
this way will ensure we follow best practice guidelines and demonstrate approprÈate openness, transparency and
accountability in all of our business aclivilies.
Efflbracing Corporate Governance ensures Ihal as an organisation we adhere to the highest standards of integrity in
carrying out our business and managing our finan￿S. The company is fully aware of its responsibilities and the need
for accountability, particularly in relation to Ihe management of public money.
Principal Risks and Uncertainties
The directors have conducted a review of the major risks lo which the charity is exposed. Appropriate systems and
internal controls are in place throughoul the charity's processes and Pfocedures to provide clear accountability and to
mitigate tb.qse risks which the charity faces.
The c": iarity seeks to mainlain high standards in the management of risk and the processes 5.1 place are reviewed
annually to ensure their relevance

Objectlves and Activities
The objects of Involve {Nl) as set out in our Articles is the promotion of education, training and personal development
with a view to enabling ihe community to enhance their social and personal skills, develop and participate in valued
roles in the community and achieve a level of independence.
Involve (Nl) also aims to advance citizenship and community developmenl through the provision of opportunities for
social interaction and social inclusion which support, enrich and empower Ihe community.. and the development of
programmes with other partnerships and provision of services which promote choice, opportunity, independence,
equality and health and wellbeing.
Public Benefit statement
In selting our objectives and planning our activities for the year the trustees have given careful consideration lo Ihe
Charity Commission for Northern Ireland's guidance on public benefit to ensure activities have helped lo achieve the
charity's purpose and provide a benefit to the beneficiaries.
InVOLve (Nl) is solely run by volunteers who ensure InVOLve meet their objectives.
InVOLve (Nl) has three venues which caters for the local community and facilitates Mid Ulster Volunteer Centre and
The Base.
InVOLve (Nl) was set up to meet the needs of the community creating a shared space for those living with a disability
andlor disadvantage.
InVOLve (Nl) enables community inlegration in a shared Spa￿ for people from all backgrounds and cotnmunities
regardless of age, disability. gender, sexual orientation. religion, race or where they live.
Achievements and Perfomiance
This annual report will give an overview of Ihe work of InVOLve (Nl) during 2022 - 2023. InVOLve {Nl} believe that
they are meeting their objectives.
InVOLve (Nl) have 3 premises in Antrim, Cookstown and in particular InVOLve House, Magherafelt.
Involve House is a community building. open to the public which is used for a number of purposes such as training,
workshops and meeting rooms etc. 11 is solely run by volunteers who work lirelessly lo ensure that InVOLve House
caters for everyone's needs. Groups use the facililies for training. workshops and meetings. etc. The number of
groups using the building has improved but is not back fully lo where it was pre-pandemic. Our premises are open 5
days per week. including weekends when required to accommodale those groups and organisations who are using
the building.
We slill carry oul risk assessments as we are very conscious that some of the mosl vulnerable attend activities at our
premises lo ensure maximum safely for volunteers and other users of the building. These proTrdures have remained
in pla￿ to ensure the safety and wellbeing for all those who avail of the building.
Mid Ulster Volunteer Centre used the facilities when lockdown eased for their Carefully Yours Project for over 55s.
Carefully Yours had reduced activities and reduced numbers due to social distancing.

InVOLve (Nl) continue our partnership with the Northern Health and Social Care Trust {NHSCT) with The Base in
Antrim, where adults with a learning disability can meet and make friends in their own community and avail of
structured activities. Generally, people attend a Base as part of a package of community-based day services on the
days when they are not at college, volunteering, in a social enlerprise or in supported employmenl. InVOLve (Nl)
continues to seek funding to offer The Base Se￿l¢e users training which will enhance their personal development and
overall wellbeing.
As part of our SeNice Level Agreement wtth the NHSCT we re￿[Ved a one-off non recurrent investment of £5,000
which we used for activities to promote the heallh and wellbeing of ihe service users in line with the 5 steps to
wellbeing. This investment enabled us to hold activities such as music workshops, training in personal development
and a visual arts project. etc.
We were delighted to re￿1ve a one off non-recurring payment from the NHSCT in recognition of the financial
pressures being faced by the Community and Voluntary Seclor.
We were delighted to receive the Community Venues Granl from Mid Ulster District Council, which helped with the
ever increasing running costs of InVOLve House, in ad(iition to this we received one off conlribution to miligate some
of the rising cost of living pressures.

Trustees related party transactions
None of the Trustees received remuneration or other benefit from their work with the charity.
Principal Funding sources
Aside from income generated by Involve (Nl) through their SeTvi￿S, the principal funding sources for Involve {Nl)
is currently by way of grant and contract income.
Financial Review
In 2022123 total incoming resouices were £82,729 {202112022= £73,359)
During the year the charity was fortunate enough to receive support from a number of sources including the Northern
Health and Social Care Trust, Mid Ulster Council.
Total expenditure for 2022123 was £85,704 {2021122'. £71.751)
The charity was in a reasonably healthy financial position at the year-end, with current assets of £41.214
The trustees confimi that sin￿ tlie year-end. it is not aware of any events thcli would have a material delFimenlal
impact on its position.
Reserves policy
The trustees of Involve (Nl) have set a resetves policy which requires.-
The charity to mainlain a level of reserves which meels the needs of the project both at the current time and in the
loreseeable future. The level of rese￿eS held are based on the need to fund unexpected expenditure and to ensure
that it can fund any shortfalls in income. should income nol reach expected levels.
The Board of Directors will be responsible for monitoring the level of reserves on a monthly basis.
This policy will be reviewed every three year5 in line with the strategic planning cycle.

STATEMENT OF TRUSTEES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND DECLARATION
ON UNAUDITED FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
The truslees are responsible for preparing the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and regulations.
Company law requires the trustees as the directors to prepare financial stalements for each financial year. Under that
law the Iruslees have elected to prepare the financial statements in accordance with United Kingdom Generally
Accepted Accounting Practi￿ (United Kingdom Accounting Standards and applicable law}. Under charitable
Company law the trustees must not approve the financial statements unless they are satisfied that Ihey give a true
and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity and of Ihe net income or expenditure of ihe charity for that period. In
preparing these financial slatements, the Iruslees are required to=
select suitable accounting policies and apply them consislenlly.,
Make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent..
Observe the methods and principles in the Charites SORP.
state whether the Charities SORP (effective January 2015) in accordance with FRS 102 has been followed-,
prepare the financial slatements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate lo presume that the charity
will continue in operation.
The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounling records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any
time the financial position of Ihe charity and lo enable them lo ensure that the financial statements comply with . and
all Regulations to be construed as one with Ihat Act. They are also responsible lor safeguarding the assets of the
charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularilies.
Trustees, declaration on unaudited financial statements
In relation to the financial statements comprFsing the Stalement of Financial Activities, the Balan￿ Sheet, the
Accounting policies, applying them consistently and making. on a reasonable and prudent basis, the judgement's
underlying ihem The have been prepared in the going cOn￿M basis on the grounds thal the charity will continue in
operation.
The trustees confirm ti tat have made available to R T J Ross & Co , Chartered Accountants. all the charity's
accounting records and provided all the information. books and documents ne￿SSary for the compilation of the
financial statements.
The trustees confirm that to the best of their knowledge and belief. the accounting records reflect all the transactions
of the charity for the year ended 31 March 2023.
Special provisions relating to small companies
The above report has been prepared in accordance wilh the special provisions relaling to small companies within
Part 15 of Ihe Companies Act 2006.
