The trustees who are also directors of the charity for the purposes of the Companies Acl 2006, present
their report with the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31 December 2023. The
trustees have adopted the provisions of Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Statement of
Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the
Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland {FRS 102} (effective 1
January 2019).
STRUCTURE, GOVERNANCE AND MANAGEMENT

I report on Ihe accounts of the company for the year ended 31 December 2023, which are set out on
pages three to twelve.
Respective responsibilities of charity trustees and examiner
As the charity's trustees (and also the directors for the purposes of company law) you are responsible
for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006.
Having satisfied myself that the charity is not subject to audit under company law and is eligible for
independent examination, it is my responsibility to..
examine the accounts under Section 65 of the Charities Act
follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity Commission for
Northern Ireland under Section 65(9){b} of the Charities Act
state whether particular matters have come to my attention.

I have examined your charity accounts as required under Section 65 of the Charities Act and my
examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity
Commission for Northern Ireland under Section 65(9){bl of the Charities Act. The examination included
review of the aG¢ounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with
those records. It also included consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and
seeking explanations from you as charity trustees concerning any such matters.
My role is to slate whether any material matters have come to my attention giving me cause to believe..
That accounting records were not kept in accordance with Section 386 of the Companies Act

That the accounts do not accord with those accounting records
That the accounts do not Gomply with the accounting requirements of Section 396 of the

The charitable company is entitled to exemption from audit under Section 477 of the Companies Ad
2006 for the yoar ended 31 December 2023.
The members have not required the company to obtain an audit of its financial statements for the year
ended 31 December 2Q23 in accordance with Section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.
The trustees acknowledge their responsibilities for
(a) ensuring that the charitable company keeps accounting records that comply with Sections 386
and 387 of the Companies Act 2006 and
{b) preparing financial statements which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the
charitable company as at the end of each financial year and of its surplus or deficit for each
financial year in accordance with the requirements of Seclions 394 and 395 and which otheNise
comply with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 relating to financial stalements, so far
as applicable to the charitable company.

ACCOUNTING POLICIES
Basls of preparing the flnancial statements
The financial slatements of the charitable company, which is a public benefit entkty under FRS
102, have been prepared in accordance with the Charilies SORP (FRS 102) 'Accounting and
Reporting by Charities-. Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing
their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and
Republic of Ireland {FRS 102) (effective 1 January 2019),, Financial Reporting Standard 102 'The
Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland, and the Companies
Act 2006. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.
Income
All income is recognised in the Statement of Financial Activities once the Charity has entitlement
to the funds, it is probable that the income will be received and the amount can be measured
reliably.
Expenditure
Liabilities are recognised as expendrture as soon as there is a legal or constructive obligation
committing the charity to that expenditure, it IS Probable that a transfer of economic benefits will
be required in settlement and the amount of the obligation can be measured reliably. Expenditure
is accounted for on an accruals basi5 and has been classified under headings that aggregste all
cost related to the category. Where costs cannot be directly attributed to particular headings they
have been allocated to activities on a basis consistent with the Ltse of resources.
Tangible flxed assets
Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its
estimated useful life or, if held under a finance lease, over the lease term, whichever is the
shorter.
Taxation
The charrty is exempt from corporation tax on its charitable activities.
Fund accounting
Unrestricted funds can be used in accordance with the charitable objectives at the discretion of
the trustees.
Restricted funds Can only be used for particular restricted purposes within the objects of the
chsrity. Restridions arise when specified by the donor or when funds are raised for particular
restricted purposes.
Further explanation of the nature and purpose of each fund is included in the notes to the
financial statements.
Hire purchase and leasing ¢ommltments
Assets obtained under hire purchase contracts or finance leases are capitalised in the Balance
Sheet. Those held under hire purchase contracts are depreciated over their estimated useful
lives. Those held under finance leases are depreciated over their estimated useful lives or the
leasè term, whichever is shorter.

Hire purchase and leaslng commitm8nts
Rentals paid under operating leases are charged to the Statement of Financial Activities on a
straight line basis over the period of the lease.
Pension costs and other post-retirement benefits
The charitable company operates a defined contribution pension scheme. Contributions payable
to Ihe charitable company's pension scheme are charged to the Statement of Financial Activities
in the period lo which they relate.
