The Redburn Loughvlew Communlly Forum (RLCF) was set up In Holywood, Co. Down by concerned local older
resldent volunteers who looked to dèvls8 solutlons to problems due to soclo-economic dlsadvant8g8 prevalent In
their area, The area InGludes predomlnantly of soclal hous5ng wlth low.Income famllle3 wlth a distlnct laGk of
facllltles and servlces. Since Its slart over 20 years ago, RLCF has fought to develop the capaclty, skllls and
potential of its communlty and meet identlfled needs. The RLCF Is a voluntary organlzatlon, for local groups
consisting of Men, Women, Young People and Chlldren, In the Redburn Loughview area Including other voluntary
and statutory agencles.
The organlsallon uses it5 constltutlon In all its work., however, It adopts a Gommunlty development approach to all
it5 work and has the followlng key values Equallty and Antl-dlscrimlnatlon, SoclaS Justlce, Collectlve AGIIoii,
Community Empowerment. (ln Ilne wlth RLCF constitutlon),
'Communily development Is work wlth people In nelghbourhoods and communltles to InGrease levels of self-
help, support and collectlve actlon. It alms to give people greater Gontrol over thelr Indlvldual sltuatlon5 and
their communities"

Redburn Loughvlew Communlty Forum's ethos Is to bulld the abllity of the most vulnerable member3 of
RedbuinlLoughview Social Houslng area includlng the wlder environs to become empowered to meet thelr
own needs.
To provide and support a forum where member groups and Statutory and comrnunlty
organlsations can join for mutual support, to exchange view8 and share common Issues 8nd Informatlon. We
wish lo create a collective volce and work in partnership wlth statutory agencles and authorities.

Statement of Trustees, Responslbllltles
The trustees are responsible for preparlng the tru8tees' report and the financi85 statements In accordance
with the Un5ted Klngdom Accounllng Standards (Unlled Klngdom Generally AGGepted AGGounting
Pra¢tlce) and applicable law and reguS8tions.
Charlty law requlres the trustees to prepare flnanclal statements for each financlal year. Under charlty
law the trustees must not approve the financlal statements unl855 they are satlstled that they glve a true
and falr view of the state of affalrs of the Charlty and of Ils Incomlng resources and appllcatlon of resources,
Including Its income and expendlture, for that period. In preparlng these financlal statements, the trustees
are requlred to,.
select suitable accounting policies and apply them conslstently;
observe the methods and prlnclples In the Charltles SORP.,
make judgments and estlmates that are reasonable and prudent;
State whether appllcable UKAccountlng Standards have been followed, subject to any materlal
departures dlsclosed and explalned In the flnanclal slatements., and
prepare the flnanclal Statements on the golng concern ba818 unless It Is Inapproprlale to

The trustees are responslble for keeplng adequate accountlng records that are sufflclent to show and
explain the charlty's tran8aGtlons and disclose wlth reasonable accuracy at any tlme the financlal posltlon
of the charltable company and enable them to ensure that the financlal statements comply w5th the
Charilles Act (Northern Ireland) 2008, They are 8180 responslble for safeguardlng the assels of th8
charity and hence for taklng reasonable 3teps for the prevention and detectlon of fraud and olher
irregularities.
