service and life of Rev Townsend of Craigs Parish Church.A
very though provoking and educational night

Jack and the
Beanstalk|27 people attended the Pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk
starring May McFetridge in the GOH Belfast. Once again a
great night’s entertainment .|
|15/2/19|Alec McArthur|Alec gave a slide show and talk on life in the Isle of Tiree
where he was born and still has a croft. An interesting step
back in time.38 people attended|
|8/3/19|Alastair Campbell
David Purdy|Alastair , who has worked for Wrights for approx. 40 years
gave a slide show on the history of the company and the
innovative developments in bus design.

|16/03/19||Annual St Patrick’s Night Celebration in Galgorm Community
Centre.|
|12/4/19|Cancer Focus NI|Betty Millar from Cancer focus NI organized a speaker to
address the group on Cancer Awareness. It was good to get
professional advice which we can apply to our everyday lives.

Matthew Warwick|BBQ and Ulster Scots Night was attended by 52 people.
Thanks to all who helped with the BBQ and to Matthew
Warwick for providing the excellent entertainment. A night
filled with laughter|
|Saturday
1/6/19|Summer Outing|52 people took part in the Summer Outing 2019. We visited
Brownlow House in Lurgan where we had a tour and morning
coffee. We then travelled to Hillhall Presbyterian Church for an
excellent lunch. Unfortunately, the coach broke down but the
coach company arranged alternative transport for us to the
Museum of Orange Heritage in Belfast where we had a guided
tour and onward to Orangefield Presbyterian Church for
dinner. All the food provided during the day was excellent and
both tours were very interesting and informative.|

|Grants and
Funding||Two grants were received this financial year.
1 Mid and East Antrim Borough Council for the coach hire for
the summer outing.
2. NACN Rural Micro Capital Grant DAERA micro grant for
overhead projector, screen and speakers .
The Defibrillator Grant was not in this financial year but
acknowledgement is given to Mid and East Antrim Borough
Council for the funding|

MHCS
