AUGHARAN PIPE BAND 'Registered with The Chatity Commlssion for Northern Ireland NIC103145' Trustees, Annual Report Year Ending 31st August 2023 Purposes: The Group is established to advance the arts. culture and heritage - in particular the Ulster Scots tradition - for the benefit of the public through any exclusively charitable means such as; The provision ot" opportunities for participants to read and learn bag-pipes, drums and other musical instruments; Th¢ carrying out of musical perfonnances at Church services or other community events: The leading of established orders at parades and related events. Public Benefit: The trustees are satisfied that the public benefit requirement was met. The direct benetits which flow trom this purpose include the advancement of Pipe and Drum Music through the education and learning of the young members in our local and wider community leading to be actively responsible )'ouths contributing to enhanced community lit'e. Further benefits include wider public access to. and enjoyment of. cultural and musical arts. This is demonstrated through the direct teaching ot" musical instruments such as Pipes and Drums delivered by experienced trained instructors, improvements in the skills of leaming musicians and public attendance ai perforn]ances. A private benetit might arise where tutors gain. for example transferable skills or knowledge, through their part in classes organized at the venue.
