Public benefit requirement statutory guidance
The Trustees have had regard to the Charity commission NI’s public benefit requirement statutory guidance and are satisfied that the Charity complies with said guidance.
Purpose of the charity
EYEspeak is established to promote the benefit of adults with visual impairment living in Omagh and surrounding area (hereinafter called the “Area of benefit”)
without distinction of age, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnic identity, disability, political or religious opinion, by association with the inhabitants, voluntary organisations and the statutory authorities in a
common effort to alleviate poverty and disadvantage, advance
education, promote social inclusion, promote cross-community contact, promote social welfare for recreation or other leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said adults with visual impairments.
EYEspeak provide a range of leisure and social activities and information sessions beneficial to people who are blind or partially
sighted.
Financial Review
EYEspeak relies on donations, members contributions and grants to carry out its role and reimburse its’ Officers and Volunteers with out-ofpocket expenses. At the period ended 31 March 2024 there were no debts held by the charity.
Governing Constitution
EYEspeak is governed by its constitution document adopted on 22 April
2012
