The Trustees of The Llncoln Courts Youth & Community Association are pleased to present their
reportfor the year ended 31 March 2024.
Purposes of the Charlty
The Association Is established to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Llncoln Courts,
Brigade and Rossdowney areas of Londonderry in Northern Ireland { herelnafter called the "area of
benefit.) without distinction of age, gender, sexuality, nationality, ethnic orlgln, polltical or religious
oplnion, by associatlng the statutory authorities, voluntary organlsations and the inhabitants in a
common effort to advance educatlon, and to provide facillties in the interest of soclal welfare for the
recreation of other lelsure-time occupation with the object of Improving the conditions of life for the
said inhabltants
Maln Artlvltles to further the Charlty's purposes for the publlc beneflt
Llncoln Courts Youth & Communlty Assoclation manage a purpose-bullt local authorlty communlty
centre wlthln the Lincoln Courts estate. Our group is a grass-roots communlty group set up to try
and improve the lffe for the residents withln the area and the surroundln8 areas.
The maln actlvities of our group include runnlng the youth club whlch Is run 5 days a week for 3
dlfferent age groups, up to eighteen years old. Actlvltles also include the Senlor Cltizens luncheon
club, the Parent & Toddlers group, older peoples programme and the Women's 8roup. We try to
encourage the older residents to particlpate In varlous activ5ties wlthln the communlty. There are
also a number of cllnlcs avallable which include Welfare rlghts, Houslng Executlve and other relevant
statutory bodles.
The maln focus of our actlvttles has been through the youth club whlch has reached out to all youn8
people withln the estate and the surrounding areas to provlde them wlth new opportunltles and
experlences, to dlvert thern from the ongoing temptatlon to get involved with anti-social behavlour.
Maln A¢hlevements In the year
Lincoln Courts Youth & Communlty Assoclatlon ILCYCA} have delivered a wlde range of programmes
and actlvities for resldents over the course of the past year. We have also been proactfve in
providlng hot meals, food par￿ls, fuel vouchers and general assistance to all elderly and vulnerable
people within the Llncoln Courts and surroundlng areas.
Slnce the relaxatlon of Covld re8ulatlons LCYCA have provlded the following artivitles to
the following groups:

Publlc Benefft Statement
The Trustees of The Llncoln Courts Youth & Communlty Assoclatlon conflrm that they have complled
wlth thelr duty under sectlon 17 {5) of the Charlties Act 2011 to have regard to the Charity
Commisslon's guidance on public beneflt and that the publlc beneflt requlrement has infomied the
actlvltles of the Soclety in the year to 31 March 2024.
Revlew of Fln•n¢lal posftlon as at 31 March 2024
The Charlty had excess payments over recelpt5 for the year to 31 March 2024 of £26,180 {2023:
surplus £12,652).
As at 31 March 2024 the Charlty had no funds in material deflcFt
The Charlty was formed on 30 December 1979, and Is 8overned by Its Constltutlon dated at that
tlme.
No funds are held by the charlty as a custodlan trustee
Trustse Selocllon and Management
The Charity is managed by an Executive Committee which conslsts of all the appolnted trustees, and
the selertlon of any new Trustees Is dealt wlth by that Commlttee.
The followlng served as Trustees of the Charlty throughout the year to 31 March 2024, and were
also Trustees as at the date of approval of this Report
