Trustees Annual Report for the year ended 31 March 2023 The Trustees of The Lincoln Courts Youth & Community Association are pleased to present their report for the year ended 31 March 2023. Purposes of the Charity The Association is established to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Lincoln Courts, Brigade and Rossdowney areas of Londonderry in Northern Ireland { hereinafter called th6-area of benefit") without distinction of age, gender, sexuality, nationality, ethnic origin, political or religious opinion, by associating the statutory authorities, voluntary organisations and the inhabitants in a common effort to advahce education, and to provide facilities in the interest of social welfare for the recreation of other leisure-time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants Maln Artivlties to further the Charlty"s purposes for the publlc benefit Lincoln Courts Youth & Community Association manage a purpose-built local authority cornmunity centre within the Lincoln Courts estate. Our group is a grass-roots community group set up to try and improve the life for the residents within the area and the surrounding areas. The main activities of our group include running the youth club which is run 5 days a week for 3 different age groups, up to eighteen years old. Activities also include the Senior Citizens luncheon club, the Parent & Toddlers 8roup, older peoples programme and the Women'5 group. We try to encourage the older residents to participate in various activities within the community. There are also a number of clinic5 available which include Welfare rights, Housing Executive and other relevant statutory bodies. The main focus of our artivities has been through the youth club which has reached out to all young people within the estate and the surrounding areas to provide them with new opportunitles and experiences, to divert them from the ongoing temptstion to get involved with anti-social behaviour. Main Achlevements In the year Lincoln Courts Youth & Community Association (LCYCA) have delivered a wide range of programmes and activities for residents over the course of the past year. We have also been proactive in providing hot meals, food parcels, fuel vouchers and general assistance to all elderly and vulnerable people within the Lincoln Courts and surrounding areas. Since the relaxation of Covid regulations LCYCA bave provided the following activities to the following groups: Pre-school Positive Parenting (6months - 3 years) Messy Play - Interactive, Stimulating sensory programme. (14 weeks) Jo-Jingles - Singing, Rhyming and Phonetic programme. (Ongoing) Stay & Play - Parent & Child interaction. (Ongoing) Crafty Teddies - Teddy bear building, Child coordination. Gymnastics - Child Gymnastics. (Ongoing) Junior Youth / Children's Club (4 years - 9 years)

Quarterly Tea dances Additional Activities - Winter hot meals - To provide hot meals in th¢ colder winter months and thus help to ease the impact of cost of living Crisis (12 weeks). Fuel Buying Job- TBC Women's Group Warni Spaces - To provide anyone, who wishes, with a warm space as a result of cost-of- living crisis. (Ongoing). Annual Community Funday . Surnmer Monthly Community Dinner Community Christmas Dinner Seasonal Cowunity Bus trips Publlc Benefft Statement The Trustees of The Lincoln Courts Youth & Comrnunity Association confirm that they have complied with their duty under section 17 (5} of the Charities Act 2011 to have regard to the Charity Commission's guidance on public benefit and that the public benefrt requirement has informed the activities of the Society in the year to 31 March 2023. Revlew ol Flnanclal position as at 31 March 2023 The Charity had surplus receipts over payments for the year to 31 March 2023 of £12,652 <2022: surplus £47,1161. As at 31 March 2023 the Charity had no funds in material deficit The Charity was formed on 30 December 1979, and is governed by Its Constitution dated at that time. No funds are held by the charity as a custodian trustee
Trustee Selection and Management The Charity is managed by an Executive Committee which consists of all the appointed trustees, and the selection of any new Trustees is dealt with by that Committee.
