The Trustees of the Thomas Street Methodist Church Jones Bequest Fund have given careful
consideration of the Charity Commission guidance on public benefit to ensure that the
activities entered into during the year have achieved our objective of providing financial grants
to youth organisation attached to Thomas Street Methodist Church. These financial grants
were used by various youth organisations to help children and young people between the
ages of 3 and 18 to improve personal, social and spiritual development. The organisations are
open to any child or young person in the community and at present there are members from
several different ethnic backgrounds.

The income for the charity is derived from investments held by Epworth Investment
Management In London. The value of the investment at 31, December 2023 exceeded a
million pounds and the income received during the year was £19,971.68. The grants paid out
amounted roughly to £46,769, the excess of expenditure over income was taken from our
cash reserves. The charity has no outstanding liabilities.
