KILLAGAN PARISH CHURCH TRUSTEES REPORT The TrUStS present the annual report together with the Financial Ststements for the year ended 31 December 2022. TRUSTEES The Trustees during the year were: Rev A R Halligan, Sandra Chambers, George Cinnamon, Linda A Ferguson, Brenda Given, Rotert Kirkpatrick, Alice Logan, Annie Mark, Christine McFall, Joyce McLaughlin, Edwin R McLaughlin, Linda Stinson, Lee Averill, Paul Stevenson, Jacqui McLoughlin. FINANCES The accounts for the year ended 31 December 2022 show an increase in Fr*will Offerings from £20,443 in 2021 to £22,081 in 2022. Other income increased from £6,653 In 2021 to £11,925 in 2022. During the year there was no major expenditure resulting in a surplus for the year of £12,813 as against a surplus for the previous year of £11,645. The Bank Balance at 31 December 2022 was £75,655 (£62842: 2021). All monies received by the Parish is checked by at least two Trustees before being passed on to the Treasurer to be lodged to the bank. MANAGEMENT The Finances are managed by the Treasurer who provides a report to the Trustees at the Selett Vestry meetings which are held monthly or other times as may be required. The Selert Vestry members are the Trustees and are appointed each year at the Annual Easter Vestry by the Church members. PURPOSE The principal funttion of the Parish is to support the advancement of the Christian religion by promoting through the work of the Parish the whole mission of the Church, pastoral, evangelistic, social and ecumenical. Being open to and engaging with society as a whole and offering support for those needing help is fundamental to the practical delivery of the tenets of Christianity. As a result of activity in pursuit of the advancement of the Christian religion, the Parish has custody of the Church building, records, materials and artefacts which are of cultural significance and the maintenance of these is undertaken as secondary charitable purpose. KILLAGAN PARISH CHURCH TRUSTEES REPORT- CONT'D PUBLIC BENEFfF The expression of the precepts of the Christian religion through engagement with the general public and in particular with the disadvantaged, the slck, the elderly and the young Is a public benefit. This can be measured and evidenced through increased social integration and pastoral care delivered at the point of need. Regular worship and reaching out into the community as well as both social and fundraising attivities throughout the year have been carried out to fulfil our ststement of Public Benefit. Our monthly cross-community ladies Craft Circle and annual pre-christmas craft sale are widely supported by the local community. Our mother's union Is very attive and we also have a men's fellowship group and a youth group. TRusfEES RESPON IBILITIES The Trustees are responsible for keeping accurate accounting records that are sufficient to show and explain the Charity's transartions and disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the Charlty. The Annual Report of the Charity was approved by the Trustees on 21 April 2023. Page 3
