Thè accounts have b&en prepared in accordance with the accounting policies set out In note 1 to the accounts
and comply with the charity's Memorandum and Artlcles of Association, thè Companies Act 2006 and
Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Slalemenl of Recommend&d Pra¢ti¢e applicable lo charities prèparing
their accounts in accordance with the Financi81 Raporting Standard applicable in the UK ancl Republic of Ireland

Objoctlves and actlvltles
The principal activity of th& company is lo promots the use of counselling in thè local area and lo provide
counselling services for thoso in need.
The Iruslees have paid due regard to guidance issued by the Charity Commission in d6ciding what activities th&
¢harity shDuld undertake.
Achièvem¢nts and performance
During the year the charity continued lo strive lo achieve their objectives of providing counselling services to
those in need. The organisalion was able lo push forward with fund raising and grant applications on the basis Csf
their charitable ststus. Last year the total number of clients seen by Ihtt organisation Was 2D9.
Fin8ncial revlew
The results for the year are sel out on page 5.
Total incoming resources for the year increased lo £137,669 12021 £71.4241 of which 860/0 was generated by
charitable aclivilies. Income from counselling services in schc)ols increased significantly by £58.561. The
remaining income was generated by donations and grants from local bodies.
Total resources expènded Increased to £122,004 12021 £67,636) of which 99% was expended on direct
activities. Counselling fèes increased in 2022 by £47,508 to 18cilitste increased ServI￿S to Schotsl's.
It Is the polley of the charity that unre$lrl¢ted funds which have not been dèsignated ftsr a specrfic use should be
maintained al a level equivalent to be￿￿èn thrÈè 8nd six month's expèndSlure. The Iruslees consider that
reserves al this level will ensure that, in the event of a significant drop in funding, thèy will be able to continue the
charity's eurrenl activities while consideration is given lo ways in which additional funds may be raised. This lèvel
of reserve8 has been maintainèd thrO(￿houl thè year.
Reserv8s Poll¢y
The frust aims lo continue lo increase reserves to ensure the slabllity of its services, employmonl and everyday
operations of the organisallon.
Risk Management
In 2ccordan¢è with good practice, the charity is devèloping a Risk Management Policy and is complèting 2 risk
asstsssmenl. A Corporate Risk Régi81&r 1$ being drawn up ID priorilise the risks requiring action. The Risk
Register will b8 reviewed and updated on a regular basis or as soon as a potential risk is identified. Analysis for
e8ch risk will be detsiled in the Risk Reglsler togethar with thè Controls currently in place to mitigat& the risk and
the further actions requirèd to minlmlse the risk.

None ofthe Iruslèes has any beneficial interest in Ihp company. All of the tnJstees are members of the Company
