**Purposes:** The Group is established (a) to provide a Cultural and educational resource, that will impact upon local musical heritage and cultural traditions associated with all aspects of the Ulster-Scots people within the Kingdom of Mourne, its hinterlands and beyond (b) to further advance, promote and preserve the culture and heritage associated with our Ulster-Scots identity and to promote cultural confidences and civic pride, and bolster the morale of our Ulster-Scots community and harness the talents and enhance the abilities of the membership within the group.
