Structure, governance and management
Improved relationships between home and school the benefits which flow from this purpose include
funding for additional resources for the school and links built with the local community- This is
demonstrated through having an active PTA that works in partnership with the school and engages
parental support. This purpose does not lead to harm.
The benefit is for children at Fullerton House Preparatory school. The trustees (PTA committee
members) are always parents of pupils at the school, and hence enjoy the benefits mentioned above
in the same way as all other beneficiaries. The trustees maintain that it is necessary to ensure these
benefits are provided to all beneficiaries on an incidental basis.
Objectives and activities
The main aim of the PTA is to maintain relationships belween home and school. The PTA proactively
works in partnership with the school and garners parentsl support. As a result, funding for additional
resources for the school is generated and links are strengthened with the local community.
Largely, Fullerton House Preparatory School pupils are the beneficiaries. The trustees and PTA
committee members are parents of pupils at the school who by association share in the benefits that
that PTA works hard to provide.

Achievements and performance
A number of events were held during school hours involving the children only. A golf day and
a summer festival also took place, where relatives and friends were able to take part.
Financial review
The PTA generated £9,067 of income in the year to 31st August 2023 (2022.. £8,188), against
which £6,255 (2022.. £4,334) was spent in relation to entertainment and catering at the
various events held throughout the year. There were no purchases of reSoUr￿S on behalf of
the school in the year (2022= £708).
Accordingly, the surplus for the year amounted to £2,812 (2022= £3,146)-
Plans for future periods
The modus operandi of the PTA has not changed in recent years - those parents who are
interested in getting involved will enthusiastically continue to raise money in earnest, with the
promise that those in charge of stewardship will put that money to good use for the benefit of
the pupils of Fullerton House. There is no immediate need or wish to change the way in which
money is raised the events are held not only to raise money, but to give the children their
place and ultimately some fun, and to facilitate friendships amongst the parents. So long as
this formula continues to work, the PTA will doubtless continue in its current form.
