have pleasure in submitting their annual report and fjnancial statements of the Charity for the year ¢nde& 31
August 2023.
The trnstees have adopted the provisions of th¢ Statsm¢nt of RecoTnmended Practice (SOIRP) 'Accounting and
Reporting by Charities, issu¢d in 2005 in preparing theii annual report and financial statements of the Charity.
The Charty is a ckwitable company limited by glwantee and was incorporated on 19 August 2010. It is
governed by a D￿MO￿ldUt￿ and artt¢l¢s of &sso¢iation.
Structurej governance and Jnan2gem¢nt
The constitutÉon was a(lopted by the tnembers of the Chartty at a Special General Meeting held on 24 May 2006
and stipulates the objectives and powers of the Charity for the furtberauce of its statsd objectives (outlined
below).
Membershlp of the Charity is ope]J to all and any person aged sixteen years or ov¢r living in the area of benefit
who subscribes to the objectives of the charity and whose application for metitheTsIup AS accepted by the
Committee shall be called an individual member and is entitled to vote at meetings of the Charity.
Except as provid¢d otherwise in the constitution the policy and general management of the affairs of the Charity
shall be directed by a Cornmittee elected at an Annual General Meeting. Should the number of norninalions
exceed the number of vacancies, election SI￿11 be by se¢rd ballot of the members of the Charity present and
entitled to vote at an Annual General Meeting.
Results
The results for the f￿ancial year are set out in the statement of financial activiti¢s.
Prfineipal aetivity and business review
The principal activity of the Charity Ès the advancement of ¢du￿tiOn and the promotion of the benefit and well
being of th¢ ¢on)munity in the areas of DoaglL Cogry and KilbTide and their environs in County Antrim.
The directors are satisfied with the result and are in line WAth awectstions.

tbrough their leisure tin￿ activities so as to develop their physicaL mental and emotional capacities so
that they may grow to full matutity as individuals and members of the CIMrity so that their ¢ODditions
of lif¢ may be improved.
Promot¢ and foster racial and ethnic harmony and diversity through the promotion of a¢tivÉties to foster
lfflowledge and mu￿al understanding betwe¢n p¢ople from diverse backwull(ig through the provision

Achtevements and performance
The Charity entered into an agreement WAth the Trnstees of Doagb OraDge Hall for the le￿e of the Hall as a
Community H￿1 for a 25-year perii)d con]mencing on 8 October 2010 at an annual rent of £0.05 per year.
GROW South AntrinL through the Rural Development Fulld, provided a 750/0 graut towards building costs
associated with the renovation aDd re￿bIshrnent of th¢ Orange Hall for use as a Community Hall. Match
fimaillg ￿ provid¢d by Newtsjmry￿beY BC and through fimdraising projects. The Lettw of Offer from GROW
included the tenns and conditions of the gTant, which included a Eegal charge over th¢ building for a period not
less than 10 years by th¢ Departsnent of Agriculture and Rural DevelopmenL
Building work in the community Hau was complete in June 2011 and it began use as a CorD]nunity Hall frotll
July 2011 onwards, The bank facilitated th¢ process by providing overdraft facilities until the gant releas¢d,
Fees were repaid through fi￿draIsing activities.
During the 2023 year, the commuDity hall has been used by the local playgroup.
Maintenance grdnts were received to do work on th¢ building.
The Hall was used by a volunteer who helps people from the local community with mental health issu¢s.
Community events were held during the year for the Kings coronatson and Bla¢k day.
A kids paty was held during the year.
Financfial Review
Details of the results for the year are set out in the statement of fjjwiciai activities and related notes.
The trustees hav¢ reviewed the reserv¢s of the Charity and strive to ensure there are adequate reserves to cover
any unforeseen expenditure in the ￿tt￿¢.
Future Plans
The Charity plans to continue m8nagenLent of th¢ Hall in fi￿e years and to develop its activities in accordance
wkth its current objectives.

The trustees (who are also the directors of Doagh Cultlnl Society Limited for the pu￿OSeS of compaoy law) are
responsible for preparing the tnLgtees' report and the fjllallcial statements in accordance with applÈcable law and

FRS 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applithle in the UK and Republic of freland" The report and

companies.
