The Trustees present their report and the audlted financlal statements of the charity for the year
ended 31 OtAugust 2024 The trustees have adopted the provislons of the Statement of
Recommended Practice (SORP) "Accountlng and Reporting by Charltles" (FRS 102) in preparlng the
annual report and financial statements of the charity.
Objectives and actlvities
The Charltable purpose of tho playgroup Is to enhance the development and education of children
under stalutory school age by encouraging parentslguardians to understand and provide for the
needs of their chlldren in an Integrated Education setting by:
Offering safe and appropriate play facllities, with the right of parentslcarers to take
responsibility for and to become Involved In the activities of the Playgroup ensuring
Ihat the group offers opportunities for all chlldren, regardless of religion, culture, race
or means.
Encouraging the study of the needs of such children and their families and promoting
public Interest in and recognition of such needs of such chlldren and thelr famllles in
the local areas.
Instigation and adhering to furthering the aims of Crumlin Integrated Primary School
as stated in the schools Misslon Statement and Ihe NICIE Statement of Principles.
Public benefit statement
As a setting we hold Ihe following aims and objectives: To provide an environment Ihat is a safe,
secure and welcoming, where leaming takes place through play. To help all children make the
transition from home to Pre-school. To promote understandlng, kindness and tolerance of olhers. To
nurture self-confidence and self-esteem and encourage independence. To provide a rich play
envlronment, where chlldren can explore and experiment without the fear of failure. To provlde an
environment where equal opportunities for all takes place regardless of gender, race, culture or
religion, special or additional needs. To provide continulty of care through liaison with parents and
carers.
Achievements and performance
During the period we have ensured that great facilities are avallable for Ihe children and that
equipment encourages play based learning in an Integrated environment. The financial performance
Is detailed withln the financial review and the financial statements.
Financial Review
The results for the year are set out on Page 4. At 31 August 2024 the total funds of the charity
amounted to £ 35296.96 of which restricted funds were £nil and £ £35296.96 were
unrestricted funds.
