TRUSTEES, REPORT
FOR YEAR ENDED 31 STAUGUST 2023
The Trustees present their report and the audited financial statements of the charity for the year
ended 31 "August 2023 The trustees have adopted the provisions of the Statement of
Recommended Practice (SORP) "Accounting and Reporting by Charities" (FRS 102) in preparing the
annual report and financial statements of the charity.
Objectives and activities
The Charitable purpose of the playgroup is to enhan￿ the development and education of children
under statutory school age by encouraging parents/guardians to understand and provide for the
needs of their children in an Integrated Education setting by:
Offering safe and appropriate play facilities, with the right of parents/carers to take
responsibility for and to become involved in the activities of the Playgroup ensuring
that the group offers opportunities for all children, regardless of religion, culture, ra
or means.
Encouraging the study of the needs of such children and their families and promoting
public interest in and recognition of such needs of such children and their families in
the local areas.
Instigation and adhering to furthering the aims of Crumlin Integrated Primary School
as stated in the schools Mission Statement and the NICIE Statement of Principles.
Public benefit statement
As a setting we hold the following aims and objectives: To provide an environment that is a safe,
secure and welcoming, where learning takes place through play. To help all children make the
transition from home to Pre-school. To promote understanding, kindness and tolerance of others. To
nurture self-confidence and self~esteem and encourage independence. To provide a rich play
environment, where children can explore and experiment without the fear of failure. To provide an
environment where equal opportunities for all takes place regardless of gender, race culture or
religion, special or additional needs. To provide continuity of care through liaison with parents and
carers.
Achievements and performance
During the period we have ensured that great facilities are available for the children and that
equipment encourages play based learning in an integrated environment. The financial performance
is detailed within the financial review and the financial statements.
Financial Review
The results for the year are set out on Page 4. At 31 August 2023 the total funds of the charity
amounted to £ 39119.84 of which restricted funds were £nil and £ £39119.84 were unrestricted
funds.

INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT
TO THE CHARITY TRUSTEES OF CRUMLIN INTEGRATED PRIMARY SCHOOL
I report on the accounts of the charity for the year ended 31 August 2023, which are set out on page
Respective responsibilities of charity trustees and examiner
As the charity's trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordan￿ with
the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
It is my responsibility to:
Examine the accounts under section 65 of the Charites Act.
Follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Commission under
section 65(9)(b) of the Charities Act.
State whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent examiner's report
I have examined your charity accounts as required under section 65 of the Charities Act and my
examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity
Commission for Northern Ireland under section 65(9)(b) of the Charities Act.
My examination included a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of
the accounts presented with those records. It also included consideration of any unusual items of
disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from you as charity trustees conceming any
such matters.
My role is to state whether any material matters have come to my attention giving me cause to
believe:
1. That accounting records were not kept in accordan￿ with section 63 of the Charities Act.
2. That the accounts do no accord with those accounting records.
3. That the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of the Charities Act.
4. That there is further information needed for a proper understanding of the accounts to be
reached.
Independent examiner's statement
I have complete my examination and have no concerns in respect of the matters (1) to (4) listed
above and, in connection with following the Directions of the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland,
I have found no matters that require drawing to your attention.
