Account Notes- Year ending 31 August 2023
It has been a good year with PTA funds showing a surplus of £3627.79
There were many profitable events throughout the year-
Christmas carnival in the local community centre made £296.50.
School nativity ballot- being run over the two showings, this made an
impressive £334.15.
Movie night- this was the first since COVID and although the event only
made @£103, the children really enjoyed it.
Penny wars- this was by far, the most successful fundraising event of the
year with a huge profit of just under £1200 (after the winning class
received the pizza party). Penny wars was a great idea with very little
work-apart from the counting of it, thank you Mrs Gourley for the coin
counterl
Summer fair- the first in a few years. There was a lot of organising etc,
but the event brought in @ £llOO after expenses.
In terms of expenditure the highlights were
£1138.80 Twinkl (online teaching resource)
£350 P7 Leavers (workshop)
£208.20 Kings Coronation Celebrations
PTA really does, play a very important role in schools by raising much needed
funds, boosting school finances, and bringing the school community together.
It is really lovely to see all the children engaging in any of the events that the
PTA run.
We begin the year with a bank balance of £3627.79 although a lot of this will
be used for new iPads. It is also important to remember that money must be
set aside for Parentkind insurance, banking fees and other PTA commitments.
It is important that money is spent wisely and that a healthy bank balance
continues to be maintained.
I commend this account to you and trust that this coming year will be a further
success.

Carrowdore Primary School Parent Teacher Association hold no liabilities as
everything that is owed is paid on time.
The only asset currently held by Carrowdore Prlmary School Parent Teacher
Association is the current account and small amount of petty cash. As of 30
th
August 2023, the balance of the current account is £3627.79 and petty cash is
£35.01 making a total of £3662.80
