Our activities do not lead to any harm. The only private benefit arising from our purposes is that a trustee or family member may participate in the same manner as all other beneficiaries. This is purely incidental and necessary so that the benefit is available to all inhabitants of the area. Finances A review of the charities, financial position confirms a sucSsful year. The charity had receipts of £9,589.61 and payments of £2,795.94, giving a surplus for the year of £6,793.67. This is partly due to the receipt of the CFNI grant of £4,830.00 to replace the oil burner just before the financial year end. The work was carried out in April 2024. A truer reflection of the 2023124 CCA surplus is £1,963.67. We have received funding from FODC for premises costs which is crucial to the charity's survival. We also received funding from CFNI to upgrade our heating system. As this grant arrived late in the financial year the work wasn't carried out until the following year.
We received two grants from the South West Age Partnership (SWAP). £270 for a Line Dancing Class £250 for a Textile Art Class. Neither grant was paid into our account but paid directly to the tutors by SWAP. Contributions from participants paid for craft materials and refreshments. The group requests fair contribution from users which provides some steady income. This income covers maintenance and other necessities required for the Association. Accounts are prepared to comply with the requirements of the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland.
