CHAIRPERSONS WELCOME

Thank you all very much for attending our Annual General Meeting this evening. I would like to start by passing on all our well wishes and sincere thanks to Hazel McGuigan for all her hard work and dedication over the years for the Campsie Residents Association she will be very much missed by us all.

TRUSTEE ANNUAL REPORT 23/24

It has been a very busy period for The Hub with lots of various projects ongoing such as the Living well at the Hub Demetia café, IT classes, Health information evenings, craft classes, mindfulness and lots of various Organisations choosing to use The Hub for their own sessions such as Mencap and Womens Aid.

We were proud to be able to host officers from local PSNI for an intergenerational programme which allowed the young people to create shoulder bags from scratch and they were able to sew strips of reflective material onto the bags for safety

We were successful to get some funding through DfC small capital grant which allowed some work to be started in Community Allotments and thanks to Martin for all his help with this.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Department for Communities and all the Neighbourhood renewal staff for their continued financial support which allows us to have such a busy beautiful community space.

We would like to thank Conor Keys and all the staff from FOCUS for their support throughout the year and Nigel Scott for being our independent examiner for our accounts.

Special thanks to Josephine Treanor from Fermanagh Omagh District Council for her support with funding and advice. Also thank you to Ashley from Supporting Communities for her hard work and guidance throughout the year and to Supporting Communities staff for managing our Neighbourhood Renewal Project finances.

As you can see we have had a very busy but successful year and we are keen to get new volunteers on board to help out when you can, we love hearing ideas from residents so please speak to a member of the Committee if there is anything you would like to see happening in the Campsie area.
