undertaken by the Select Vestry.

Island,. St Patricvs Coleralne and St Andrews Ballysally. In November 2025, 5t John the Baptist church h05ted the
commlsslonln8 service of Pioneer Mlnlster, jonny Diamond. We play a key role In thls excitln8 Vouth Inltlaiive by:

Partlclpatlng with the dI0￿se In the Summer Madness Youth Carnp and the local 5treetr•ach project and the
weekly youth gatherin8 wlthin Gathered.

We continue to offer a range of servi￿5 during the week and over the Gourse of the yearthat our communityflnds both
beneficial and splrltually fulfilling. Re8ularservice5 take place on Sunday5, midweek and on religious festlvals. At
present. there are 509 Church of Ireland familie5 in the pari5h1305 resldent and 204 accustomed).
As well as our ie8ular public services. we enable our community to celebrate and thank God at the milestones of the
journey through life. In 2025. there were 6 baptlsms. 2 wedding5 3nd 18 funerals.

Postoral core
We belleve that pastoral care should permeate all aspects of Church life in the Parlsh. The Rector has overall responsibility
for ensuring that pastoral care Is Provided in the church and communlty. But everyone has a responsibility to tare for
others by visiting the sick. elderly and bereaved, and those facin8 difficuli ilmes- whllst at all tlmes safeguarding the
vulnerable and recoBnisin8 every individual's rl8hts to prlvacy.
Part of takln8 ¢are of one another Is fflakln8 sure that everyone knows what events are taklng place In the parish. We
provlde clear accesslble Informatlon through the Dunluce Parish webslte. the parish newsletter and Facebook. Dunlu
Parish Church Is at the centre of the Bushmilis ￿MmUnity and we provide a ran8e of opportunities for worship, prayer.

One of the way5 In whlch we reach people outslde Bushmills is by giving money to other Christian organisations. In 202S,

We have close tles wlth Dunluce Outdoor 8owlln8 aub, whose bowlln8 8reen Iles behlnd the Parlsh Centre on land leased
from the Parish.
The Lads and La55ies Youth Club, whith had been runnlng on a weekly basis for several year5, faced dwlndlin8 numbers
and. unfortunately, folded in the autumn of 2025. However, the youn8 people of the parish now have the opportunity
through Gathered Mlnlstry to join with their peers In a wider range of soclal events and fun o¢tlvltles, as well as worshlp.
Innovation In worshlp
We are always lookin8 lor Innovative ways to implement the Charitable purpose of St John the Bapt15t Parish of Dunluce.
We contlnue to record and distrlbute the Sunday Serylce to those who are house bound or otherwlse unable to atlend
regular worshlp.
Following on from popular inltatlves intrOdU￿d in 2024, we a8ain had a donkey 3vailable for chlldren to pet on Palm
Sunday, a comrnunlon Servi￿ on the"wÈe beach" In Portballintrae at sunrise on Easter Sunday. an ice -cream Sunday on
the return to Sunday School after the sumwller break and a pet service during the autumn.

Public Benefit
The trustees have considered the Charity Commisslon for Northern Ireland's 8uidance on public beneflt to ensuiethatthe
actlvltles entered into during the year have helped to achieve the PaTish's objectlves and a¢tivitie5, 45 well a5 providln8
public benefit. The provislon of regular public worship has implemented the charstable purpose of Durtlu￿ Parish Iihe
dVan￿ment of religion) to the benefit of the people of Bushmllls and vlsttors to the are?. The activities whlch we have
undertaken have contributed to ihe Spiritual well-bein8 of participants and the reSnforcement of Christian value5.
All sectlons of soclety are catered for, from the very youn& through youih groups and adults to the elderly and infirm. A
parllcular effort Is made to welcome vi51tors from otstside Bvshmi115 and from other faiths. The Parish's mission and out-
reach work ensure5 that our beneficiaries extend well beyond the local area. The trustees have made every attempt to
mlnlmlse restrictions on access to our servi￿5 and facilities. Disabled access Is avallable both In the Church and In thè
PaTish Centre. We have mitigated any potentlal harm frorn the activlties which we undertake. Our Safe8uardln8 Tiust Is
revlèwèd annually and children uslnB our premises have thelr 8eneral safety and welfare promoted. The Selett Vestry,
through the Parlsh Panel, work withSn the Church of Ireland child protection pollcles and procedures making every effort
to protect chlldren from Ipotentlall abuse. There Is restrlcted access to unsafe areas such as ihe kltchen and the Church
tower.
Volunteers
The trustee5 would Ilke to thank all the volunteers who work 50 hard to make Our church the lfvely and vlbrant ¢ommunlty
li Is. In partlcular, we want to mentlon our churehwardens who have worked so tirelessly on our behalf. and our
dmlnlstrator, the Glebe Commlttee, the counters, the cholr, the reader5, the organists, the flower arrangers and youth
leaders and everyone else foi their valuable contribution to our minlsiry and for keeping the church runnln8.

The 16, Annual Art & Photography Exhibition Sn May and the Christmas Fayrè In De￿rnber were very well-
attended ènd financially succe55ful. We were a150 pleased to h05t the'8ushmlll$ ihrough the Wars, exhlblilon In
July. and acknowled8e thelr generous donatlon to the parish.
We continue to provlde slgnlfficant ftnancial support for'Gathered-A Partnershlp Mlnlstrv.
Reserves
The parish had cash reserve5 of £224,485 at 31° De￿mber Z025 f2024 £399.$03J.
The trustees conslder thls level of reserve51s adequate trj sustaln the anllclpated day to day runnlng costs. upkeep and
repair of the Chufch. Parish centre, and graveyard for the foreseeable future.
Golng Concern
The trustees have revlewed the budget5 foi the year ahead and are satlsfled that there are adequate funds In place to
ensure that the Pèrish can contlnue Its artivitie5 and the financlal ststements for the year ended 31" D￿rnber 2025 can
be 518ned olf as a golng concern.

Chapter 111 of the Constitution of the Churth of Ireland govems Parishes and Parochlal Organisation. The Selert Vestry
members a￿ the Charlty Trustees.

All members of the Church of Ireland who are over the age of 18 and are elther re5identwithin the paii5h or Ilve elsewhere
but have been accustomed members of the congreBation for at least three months, may register as mernbers of the
General Vestry of the parlsh. allowin8 them to attend and vote at meetlngs of the General Vestry and to stand for election
to the Select Vestry. Meet5nÉs of the General Vestry are held at least once a year. 7he Select Vestry Is elected as part of
the General Easter Vestry meetin8. The Seled Vèstry wlll hold thelr positlons for a peilod of one year. Select Vestry
members may be re-elected annually and there is no Ilmlt on the number of terms which may be served.
