I. APPROVAL
Thls Report was approved at the Annual General Meetlng of the Club. held In St Columba's Parish Church Hall,
Oma8h on 10 Aprll 2024.
2. RULES
CONSTITUTION
The Club was established for the advancement of educatlon and protectlon of health among older people
aged 60 years or over In Omagh and Its environs (herelnafter called the 'area of beneflt,) and In partlcular:
Provlde facllltles In the Intsrests of soclal welfare for recreatlon or other leisure-time occupation, with
the object of improving the conditions of life for older people.
Ralse awareness among the general publlc of the needs and experlences of older people In the area of
benefit.
Provlde or secure the provision of educational and re¢￿atIonal facllltle5 and prartlcal asslstance for
older people wlthln the area of beneflt.
Provlde Informatlon on rnatters of health and soclal welfare and refer older people In need of
professional assistance to relevant statutory or voluntary agencles.
Or8anlse or asslst In organlsing meetingsj lectures. classes and exhlbltlons, and publlsh or asslst In
publicislng reportS1 perlodlcals, recordlngs, books or other documents or information.
Obtaln, collect and receive money by way of grants. donatlons, bequests, legacles or other lawful
method, provlded that the Club shall not undertake any permanent trading actlvltles.
3. PUBLIC BENEFIT
The Trustees conflnn compllance with the statutory requirement of the Charlty Commlsslon to provlde publlc
benefit as follows:
The advancement of educatlon and protectlon of health amongst older people. This benefit is
evidenced by members learning new skills and having regular health checks to Improve Beneral well-
beln8.
To provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreatlon or other lelsure-time occupation.
This benefit is evidenced by feedback from Members, who report more confldence and partlclpatlon
in artivities.
To raise the needs of older citizens in the wider community. Thls was evldenced by the increased
awareness and support from the general public.

4. In the past year 40 - 60 senlor cltlzens have beneflted from the actlvltles of the Club through social
interactlon. The success of the Club's programme of events has been measured by the contlnuing
commitment of the existing member5 and the gradual year on year Increase in membership.
In the year from April 2023 to March 2024. the Charlty received Income of £7.861.00 from Grant
Awards and Members donatlons, whllst the expenses amounted to £5,703.78 for caterlng provlsion,
transport and venue costs.
5. PURPOSE
The advancement of educatlon and protection of health among older people to provide faclllties in the
Interest of social welfare for recreation and to ralse the awareness wlth the general public concernlng the
needs of older people.
