HON. TREASURER'S REPORT
Dear Parishioner
It is with pleasure that I present to you the financial accounts of the Church for the
year ending 31 December 2023, which has proven to be a year of growth in the
monetary aspect of our church.
As normal I comment firstly on the Fr￿WIll Offering, our main source of income at
£46,666.43, an increase of £8,160.88 on the previous year, in percentage terms 21.02
/0. Loose collections totalled £1138.18, an increase of £555.03 on the 2022 total.
The Annual HaNest Appeal of the Building and Repair Fund achieved the sum of
£2,289.35, a modest increase of £53.35. The only other income on this account was
a dividend from the investments held by the Church of Ireland Trustees at £405.87.
the main expenditure from this account during the year was a five year test and
inspection of the church electrical system. This work cost £939.96 with a further
£900.00 being used to provide external lights at the church.
The parish hall is now used more since reopening after the Covid-19 restrictions with
the account closing with a balance in hand of £4395.90. The Sunday school account
closed with a balance of £1603.04 and the Graveyard account closing with a balance
of £6780.17.
Gift Aid Tax refunds at £2115.30 was an increase of 13.7 % on the previous year. Can
l again appeal to any contributor not already in the scheme and paying sufficient
income tax to sign the appropriate declaration form and thereby increase their
contribution by 25 %.
Bank interest at £1459.91 was a remarkable increase of 700 % on 2022 when £182.41
was received. Finally, may I conclude by thanking all who contributed financially to
the church during 2023 and wish all involved in the day to day affairs of our church
a successful 2024.
