**Purposes:** The Society is established to advance education and appreciation of the  Ulster-Scots culture and its environs in and in particular to:   advance education of the Ulster-Scots history, traditions and culture;  to facilitate the examination, exploration and appreciation by all of Ulster-Scots history, music, language, tradition heritage and culture in an open and positive manor;  to educate the general public by promoting awareness of the history, folklore and cultural heritage of Ulster-Scots;
