Objectives and Activities Bbeyond was set up to advance the education, participation and promotion of performance art in Northern Ireland. Bbeyond sets out to achieve this by raising awareness amongst its membership, the artistic community and the general public, through our Performance Monthly meetings, Exchanges with different countries, Workshops, Talks, Lectures, Discussions and the disseminating of this infomiation through Elettronic Media, Publications and Archives. It also works closely with Ulster University and QU￿nS University to achieve these aims. Public benefit Statement The direct benefits which flow from the Bbeyond purposes to its beneficiaries are: Greater knowledge, understanding and appreciation of perfomiance art Opportunities to participate in performance art events, workshops and discussions Opportunities to engage with a wide range of performance art practitioners and enthusiasts The direct benefits are capable of being demonstrated, proven or evidenced via: Re5earchlSurveys/Questionnaires undertaken with Bbeyond members and the general public Increased participation in performance art activities by Bbeyond members and the general public Increased membership of Bbeyond There are no harms that may arise from the purpose. The private benefits that may arise incidentally to the carrying out of the purposes include a sense of well being, mindfulness and enhanced self awareness amongst both participants and audiences alike. Whilst modest membership and workshop fees are sometimes charged to beneficiaries concessionary rates are available for those in receipt of state benefits to ensure accessibility for all, regardless of income. Furthermore, a wide range of free information is available on both social media and within the organisational archives. Finally, the opportunity to engage in performance is available to all at no cost on a monthly basis.

New Commissions Artists Kane Stonestreet and Kathryn Leyburn had regular mentoring sessions, with Dominic Thorpe and Sinead o Donnell. Kathryn Leyburn decided to take a sabbatical from art making and withdrew from the project. Kane Stonestreet engaged with Bbeyond and they exhibited their final wot*s during BIFPA 23 at Ulster University in March 2023 and in Flax Studios Threshold Gallery as part of Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival in May 2023. The total artist participation numbers involved in this time period was 484, 32 were performing for the first time with totsl of an estimated 1750+ in-person audiences and 750+ virtual audiences.
