Meigh Communily Pre-S¢hool ha5 been at the heart ol the local communily Sin￿ 1981, pioviding
a safe, nurturing. and weltoming environment for children aged 3-5 years. A significant mil2slone
in our joumey came in 2000. when Ouf purpose-buill selling was olfioally opened by Lady Moyra
C3mpbell. following 5uccesful lunding support. This space continues our work in giving children the
best Possible start in their eorly years.
Over Ihe past year. we have conlinued lo build on ourslrong reputation lor high-qualily care and
educalron. This was reflected in our rnost recent Inspection by the Department of Education. where
we were ￿cOgnised as Oulslanding in all areas. We were a150 plèased ID have a very positive
inspeclion Irom Ihe Southem Heallh and Sociare Care Trust. vmlh no issues vjenlified.
At Ihe centre ol our pra-school is a cornmilment to chiklren's wellbeing. We provide a daily healthy
break. carefully planned usin9 500s186tl8rBr88ks guidance, helping thikI￿n to develop posits.ve
habits around lood and health frorn an early age.
Our pre-school remains a vibrant at¥J busy environment. SUPPDrted by a dedicated leam of stalf and
an evolving governan￿ 51ruclure. This year. we have incorporaled a newcornrnittee structure
designed lo slrenglhen leadership. support effeclive decision-making, and help fUtu￿-pro0f th
p￿-S¢h0O1. Alongside Ihts, our Executive Cornmillee Continues to play an active role in the day-lo-
day running and on90iTrg development ol the 5etling.
We place greal itnportance on building strong relationships wilhin our cornrnunity. We maintain
closp links wth I￿81 schools lo support children a5 Ihe move on lo thE next stage of Iheir
educalv)n, and we WO￿ alongside soaal workers and other support agencies wher? needed to
ensure every child re￿IvES Ihe care and support they deseNe.
Inclusion is at the core ol everyihing we do. We welcoFne 811 children and larnilie$. rElebraling
diversily and ensuring Ihat every child feels v81ued. respecied, and supported.
Our staff team is fully trained in chikl prol8clian and firsl aid. with regular utMJ3les to maintain the
highest 51andards ol care. Several rnernbers of Ihe team also hold Designated Child Proleclion
training. ensuring that saleguarding remasn5 a wtorily in all aspects of ourwork.
We conlinue lo meet all ￿qUired standards through regular inspedions by (he Soulhern Heallh
and Social Care Tru51, as well as Fire Authority and Food Safety Inspeclorale. and we are proud
of the postive OUt￿rneS a¢h￿Ved this year.
