Kilrea Development Committee Iwednesday Walkers TRUSTEES, REPORT The trustees present their Trustres, Report prepared in accordance with Charities SORP sl and the audited financial statements for the year ended 31 March 2024 also prepared in accordance with the aforementioned Statement of recommended practice and FRS. Trnstees: The trustees who served during the year are as follows.. Thomas Collins Maud Steele Iris Jones Ob ectAves and Aclivities: The objectives of the Charity are: to advance education, improve health and wellbeing and to providc facilities An the interest of social welfare for recreation or other leisure-time occupations, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants of Kilrea and surrounding areas. Achievements and Performance: During our walking season April 2023 to September 2023 there wcrc 22 outings to many local places, which enabled participants to visit some places they had noi been for a Ions time, as well as providing healthy excrcisc, with distances walked 2 - 4 miles each night. This year we had 36 people on our register with average attendance of 16 over the season. Visiis of particular interest were: A guided tour of Hutchinson's engineering works at Kilrea and a historic tour of cullybackey.we also had a memorable outing to Drumnaph forest.. There were opportunities to socialise with others after the walks, (tea and coffee being provided by members of the group) either at their own houses or as a picnic. Financial Review.We have had NO income, as members provided their own transport to the walks. We have no assets except our bank account and no liabilities. Strueture Cwovernance and Mana ement: Governing document Kilrea Development Committeewednesday Walkers is a registcred Charity and is governed by the tern]s of its constitution, which was adopted by the membership on I sLlan 2016. Mana ement Con)mittee: The objectives and activities of the charity a￿ administercd by not less than 3 members of th¢ association aged 18 years or over and who are elected at the Annual General meeting(with at least 6 members prcsent)The Management Committee meet at least 4 times each year.
