Kilrea Development Committee Iwednesday Walkers TRUSTEES, REPORT The tTUStees present their Trustees, Report prepared in accordance with Charities SORP st and the audited financial statements for the y¢ar ended 31 March 2023 also prepared in accordance with the aforementioned Statement of recommended praclice and FRS. Trusteej: The trustees who served during the year ar¢ as followJ: Thomas Collins Maud Steele Iris Jones Ob'eetives and Aetivities: The objectives of the Charity are: to advance education, improve health and wellbeing and to provide facilities in the interest of social welfare for rccrcation or other leisure-time occupations, with the object of irnproving the conditions of life for the inhabitants of Kilrea and surrounding areas. Achievements and Perfornianee: During our walking season April 2022 to September 2022there were 26 outings to many local places, which enabled participanls to visit some places they had not been for a long time, as well as providing healthy exercise, with distances walked 2 - 4 miles each night. This year we had 44 people on our register with average attendance of 17 over the season. Visits of particular interest wer¢: A guided tour of Portglenone and the Monastery and a boat trip on the river Bann. We also had a trip to Portrush Summer theatre. Thcre were opportunities 10 socialise with others after the walks, (tea and coffee being provided by members of the group) either at their own houses or as a picnic. Financial Review.We have had NO income, &s members provided their own transport to the walks. We have no assets except our bank account and no liabilities. Strueture GovernaDce and Mana ement: Governing document Kilrea Dcvclopment Committeelwednesday Walkers is a registered Charity and is governed by the terms of its constitution, which was adopted by the membership onl sLFan 2016. Mana ement Committee: The objectives and activities of th¢ charity are administered by not less than 3 members of the association aged 18 years or over and who are elected at the Annual General meeting(with at least members present)The Management Committ¢e meet at least 4 times each year.
