Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
As the charity's trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in
accordance with the Charities Act (Nl) 2008.
It is SCEP'S responsibilty to..
Examine the accounts under section 65 of the Chartties Act
To followthe procedures laid down in the general directions given bythe Charity
Commission under section 65 {9) (b) of the Charities Act.
To state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent examinels statement
An examination has been conducted by an inde￿ndent person. They have carrted it out in
accordance with the general directions given by the Charity Commission Nl under section 65
(91 Ib) of the Charyties Act"
The examination included a rewew of the accounting records kept by the charity and a
comparison of the accounts presented wth those remrds. It also included consideralion of
any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from you as charity
trustees concerning any such matters.
The examinerfs role is to state whether any material matters have come to their attention
giving cause to believe..
Thal accounting records were not kept in accordan￿ with section 63 of rfthe Charities
That the accounts do not accord with those accounting re￿rds.
That the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of the Charities
Acl.
That there is further infomiation needed for a proper understanding of the accounts
to be reached.
Independent examiners statement
I have completed an examination and have no concems in respect of the matters listed
14 listed above and, in connection with following the Directions of the Charity
Commission Nl have no matters that require drawing to your attention.
