Ballysillan Gospel Hall annual report for 2024 - 2025
The charity has recently been able to continue to work in the community, and we have been reaching out with calendars each year, and communications to the homes in the area.
Every Girls Rally continues, and had a good number of girls attending the activities, and the Mothers and Toddlers group has a good year each Thursday morning, with many mothers and children attending,
We again attempted to commence the Sunday school but no children came, and that has been shelved until a later date.
Our Sunday morning service is continuing and is enjoyed by all who attend.
We continue our Neighbours Hour every second and fourth Monday of the month, this has been attended by neighbours and folk from the surrounding estates around Ballysillan. We are very please with the attendance.
We support missionaries in various parts of the world, and we often have reports from missionary organisations, explaining what they have been doing on the mission field, and maybe how we as a local church can help them on the ground reaching out to help the underprivileged. We send Shoe boxes out to Romania for distribution for Christmas. This continued this year.
We also have a calendar drop around the New Year, giving out 1500 free, to all houses within our local catchment area. Many of these are very well accepted. We also had a Gospel outreach twice during the year, and this was quite successful.
This last year we did not go around the area carol singing, due to illness.
We had a fellowship meal for members and families, and we had a great nigh, playing games with the children and adults. Lovely food.
On Christmas morning at 10am we usually have a short Christmas carol service, when many of the children bring along a gift they have received from โSantaโ and we sing Carols and someone will give a short Christmas message, before everyone goes home for their Christmas dinner! this will happen again this year.
We are supporting many works in various countries, helping with water and food along with education for children in Africa, and some of us visit Romania once a year bringing with us some financial help.
