Ballysillan Gospel Hall annual report for 2022 - 2023

The charity has recently been able to continue to work in the community, we have been reaching out with calendars each year, and communications to the homes in the area.

Again this year none of the young people’s activities have commenced due to concerns with space, and with the children unable to get running around inside the building

The Mother & Toddler group have been unable to meet. Commencing September 2023.

The Sunday school has not started as no children turned up after a few weeks and contacting the parents,. No plans to start in the foreseeable future.

Our Sunday morning service is continuing and is enjoyed by all who attend.

The Girls rally have re-commenced, they have good numbers attending, running at the minute twice a month. Quite a few girls are attending and enjoying the rally.

We still support missionaries in various parts of the world, and we often have reports from missionary organisations, explaining what they have been doing on the mission field, and maybe how we as a local church can help them on the ground reaching out to help the underprivileged. We send Shoe boxes out to Romania for distribution for Christmas. This continued this year. Also this year we have been supporting widows and one parent families who are finding things tough.

We also have a calendar drop around the New Year, giving out 1800 free, to all houses within our local catchment area. Many of these are very well accepted. We also had a Gospel outreach during the year, and this was quite successful. Plans are in place for another outreach in October 2023.

We have been carol singing around the area on Christmas eve again this year.

On Christmas morning at 10am we have a short Christmas carol service, when many of the children bring along a gift they have received from “Santa” and we sing Carols and someone will give a short Christmas message, before everyone goes home for their Christmas dinner! this will happen again this year.

We are supporting many works in various countries, helping with water and food along with education for children in Africa, and some of us visit Romania once a year bringing with us some financial help again as last year..
