Tl)e trustees aciiN'ely review any major risks, which the charity faces on a regular basis and b¢lieve that
maintaining reserves at current levels. combined with an annual review of ihe controls over key financial
svstctns, will provide sU￿1¢ient resources for ihe incoming N'ear. The trustees have also examined other
operational and busin¢ss risks faced b), the Charity and confim7 that they hai.e established 5VStems to mitigate
Ihe most sigmificant risks.
Objectives
The Association is established 10 advance Christianity, relieve poverty, sickness mnd distress. among people i
Northern Ir¢land primarily, bui also in India and any oiher part of the world and in particular.. {a} to promote
ChristianitN'. by preoching the Go5￿[ and bj. holding prayer meetings and religious services for public
orship; Ib) to relief of persons in need as a result of poverty. faminc. ￿ar or other disaster, nalural or
othenvis¢ in any part of the World: (c} to provide support and financial aid to such other charitable institutions
andl or charitable purposes as may from time to time be deterniined in accordance wilh the la￿ of charity

Thc trusi¢¢s have had regard io the Public Benefit requirement as stipulated by Charity Commission for
Northern Ireland.
Regular public Gospel tneeting-% were held wiihin lh¢ fellow'ship me¢littg hall to share Gods Word. Within
these meetings numerous speakers Mere inviied to attend and preach the GostKI of Jesus Christ.
Regular prayer meetings were held in our fellowship meeling-hall.
During Ihe year we continued to provide financial support to children in India through our ongoing connection
with Helping Children Nalionwide. During the year under review w¢ gifted £180.00 directly to this charity
(2016; £180.00).
Charity Shop- during ihe year under review, the charity O￿Tated a part-time charitv shop in Cathcart Square,
Enniskillen. This proied to be a g(KMI way of reaching Out to ihe local community. Through ihis venlure we
wer¢ able to spread Gods word to members of the lo¢al community ￿h0 might not otherwise have attended

Financial Review
The Financial Ststements are p￿sented in the standard forniat required by the Charities SORP {FRS 102)
2015 and in accordance with The Charities {Accounts and RetK)rts) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2015 on
the Receipts and Payments basis. The Ststemeni of Financial ActiTr'ities on page 5 shows the gross incom¢
from all sourc¢s.
A5hwoods Christian Fellowship is rclianl upon income collecied through its weekly collections and special
Lolleciions, cotnbined ￿ ith the receipt of donated g(XKis ihn)u8h the tetnPOTWy Charity Shop to cover the
running ¢osts of the charity and to further its objeclives.
Financial Review (cont.d)
In ihe vear under review the combined income received from collections and the charity shop amounted to £
3,590 (2016= £ 4,011).
Expenses associated with its charitable activity work amounted to £ 1.825 {2016.. £ 2.382) during the year.
Investment Policy
Apart from retaining a prudent amount in reserves each year most of the charity's funds are spent in the short
term.
Reseryes Policy
The trustees aim to tnaintain sufficient reserves to enable the trust to continue its humanitarian aid and
Christian outreach at its current leN'el.
Plans for the future
The trust¢es plan to continue ihe current level of Christian outreach within thc lo¢al community through ihe
gular meetings. Thc trusiees also plan to continue iheir financial support io children in India through
Helping Children Nationwide, as well as providing support to other charitable causes a5 and when wssible.
Tryslee responsibilities in relation to the a¢counts
The charity trustees are responsible for preparing a irustees. annual report and financial statements in
