Statement of Compliance
In setting our objectives and planning our activities for the year the trustees have given car¢ful
consideration to the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland's guidance on Pliblic benefit to
ensure that the activities have helped to achieve the charity's purposes and provide a benefit to
the beneficiaries.
Principal Activities
Dungannon Sub Aqua Club is an all-inclusive amateur sports club incorporating a
search and recovery rescue unit, governed by the Irish Underwater Council (CFT).
The Club was established to:_
Promote, facilitate and support the improvement of fitness levels of our members.
Support the development of new skills such as scuba diving, snorkeling and first aid,
while encouraging awareness and respect for the aquatic environment.

Provide vital assistance to the Civil Authorities on the rescue and recovery of missing
persons.
Assist in the protection and preservation of the marine environment including the
management of regular coastline cleanup operations.
Provide assistance to Sea Search Ireland which is actively involved in the logging,
ideiitification and preservation of all marine life.
Educate youth groups from socially and fiiiancially deprived backgrounds by offering
programs, enabling them take part in sport wliile improving fitness and social skills.
The Club's objectives for the 2024 year were to continue to encourage member
progression through the various diving grades with the possibility of achieving
instructor level. We also encouraged our new members to become involved in search
and rescue and take part in training exercises. In the 2025 year, we hope to continue to
encourage member progression tlirough the various diving grades and become
iiivolved in water based environmental issues,
We again successfully fulfilled the minimum search and rescue exercises as required
by our governing body the Irish unde￿ater Council (CFT) to remain on their Search
aiid Recovery register.
Financial Review
The Trustees have a procedure iii place to review the accounts annually.
The charity's accounts will b¢ prepared each year to 31 August. These accounts covei. the year
to 31 August 2024 and reveal a surplus of £1,433
Risk Management
The Trustees are aware of the risks to which the charity may be exposed. A formal risk
assessineiit process and strategies for dealing with identified risk areas is being formalised.

INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'S REPORT
TO THE TRUSTEES OF DUNGANNON SUB-AQUA CLUB
We report to the charity trustees on our examination of the accounts for the year ended 31
August 2024 which are set out on pages 7 to 9.
Respective responsibilities of trustees and exAminer
As the charity trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance
with the requirements of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
It is our responsibility to:
examine the accounts under section 65 of the Charities Act (Northei'n Ireland) 2008.
follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity
Commission for Northern Ireland under section 65(9)(b) of the Charities Act; and
state whether particular matters have come to our attention.
Basis of independent examiner's report
We have examined your charity accounts as required under section 65 of the Charities Act and
our examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the
Charity Commission for Northern Ireland under section 65(9)(b) of the Charities Act.
Our examination included a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a
comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any
unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as charity
trustees concerning any such matters.
Our role is to state whether any material matters have come to our attention giving us cause to
believe;
l. That accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 63 of the Charities
Act
2. That the accounts do not accord with those accounting records
3. That the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of the Charities
Act
4. That there is further information needed for a proper understanding of the accounts to
be reached.
Independent examiner's statement
We have completed our examination and have no concerns in respect of the matters (l ) to (4)
listed above and, in connection with following the Directions of the Charity Commission for
Northern Ireland, we have found no matters that require drawing to your attention.

2. DEFERRED CREDIT
The Club received assistance from Mid Ulster Council towards the cost of a Club Boat,
