The group has had to can(7 all meetings and events at 2020121. However, we did manage to stay in contaca with our members by lelephone, text messages, corresponden, and vistts to their homes with Christmas Hampers. For many of our committee members, this meant carying out conversations on the doorstep, to maintain contact, aid, support. and help those members who needed it the most. We were able to cary our annual day out to Killymoon Golf Club. combined with a request from RNIB to attend a nnect day to give them some fe&lback on our requirements and what we need for the incoming year. we hope 2021- 2022 is a better yearfor Cane and Able and IcK)k forward to starling up our serviGes again and providing trK)se much-needed activities to our members. BENEFICIARIES The charity's beneficiarie5 are blind and partially sighted people living in the Craigavon and Banbridge area, their famlly, carers, friends, and the volunteers who a5SlSt the Club. ACHIEVEMENTS HOW A1VITIEs HAVE BENEFITED BENEFICIARIES Objects: The objects of the Club shall be to advance education and relieve disablement and in particular to Provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for the recreation and other leisure-time occupation of blind and partially sighted people in the Craigavon and Banbridge areas of Northern Ireland (hereinafter called the area of benefit") so that their conditions of life may be improved, enabling them to make informed choices in relation to services available. Promote independence and better integration into society of blind and partially sighted people. Promote the physical, mental, and general well-being of blind and partially sighted people. Benefits., The Club ha5 addressed feelings of loneliness and social isolation through the promotion of social inclusion activities and peer group support. This has enabled members to participate rnore fully in community life through their involvement in a wide variety of recreational activities and helping them access social support on a weekly basis. The club has promoted structured health and well-being activities and raised awareness of the importance of health and wellbeing for members. The Club has continued to raise awareness of the needs of blind and partially sighted people in the Craigavon and Banbridge area among public bodies, service providers, and statutory agencies.. FINANCIAL REVIEW AT END OF YEAR The results for the year and the Charities, financial position at the end of the year are Set out in the Cane and Able Club Annual Accounts for 2020-2021. The independent examiners, report to the Trustees found that no material matters have come to their attention. RESTRICTIONS ON WHO CAN BENEFIT There are no restrictions on who can benefit. There are no restriction5 based on personal characteristics. There is a weekly membership fee of £3.00 Page 2
PUBLIC BENEFIT The direct benefits which flow from our purposes include; improvement of knowledge and skills of blind and partially sighted people; reduction in Social Isolation and also peer- group supportfor members of the club; reduction in social isolation through participating more fully in community life and being involved in 3 wide variety of activities and raising awareness of the importance of health and wellbeing for members, to empower members to take action on the multi determinants of health. signposting to other relevant organisations and networking. PRIVATE BENEFIT There is no private benefit to any individual from any of our Purposes HARM No harm has flowed from any of our Purposes. SERIOUS INCIDENT REPORTING There are no serious incidents to report. VULNERABLE BENEFICIARIES Appropriate Policies, Procedures, and Training are in place.
