Purpose of Hope Fellowship Newry As detailed in the Hope Fellowship Newry Deeds, the puryose or objects (as it is referred to in the Deeds) are for the benefit of the public and are detailed as follows: To advance the Cknistian faith (religion) in accordance with the Statement of Beliefs in siich ways and in such parts of Northern Ireland or the world as the Trustees from time to time May think fit, To relieve sickness and financial hardship and to promote and preserve good health by the provision of funds, goods or services of any kind, including through the provision of counselling and support in such ways and in such parts of Northern Ireland or the world as the Trustees from time to time may think fit and To advance education in such ways and in such parts of Northern Ireland or the world as the Trustees from time to time may think fit. 2. Trustees, regard to the Commissioll's Public Benefit requirement statutory guidance. The Trustees would take this opportunity to provide assurance that they are aware of the Charity Commission for NortheTn Ireland's statutory guidance as it relates to Public Benefit reqiiirement and that the Trustees make decisions having taken due regard of the same associated guidance. Chairperson's Sumiiiary of Activlty (February 2023 to January 2024) Weeldy Meetings Diiring the Covid Pandemic due to restrictions in respect of meeting in public, the group availed of the facilities provided in tern]s of using Zoom to meet virtually. This proved to be particularly popular and convenient, with the group quickly adapting to the use of Zooin for all meetings. During this Annual Reporting period, the group continued to use Zoom for most Sunday meetings, as well as for all Thursday evening Prayer Group (Intercession) meetings plus tlie Monday morning Discipleship meetings. The group did rneet in the hotel (in person) on a limited number of Sundays for Worship, Intercession and to celebrate Communion. Trustee Membership During this Annual Reporting period (February 2023 to January 2024) there were no resignations from the Trustees. Speakers Rota f(hr Teaching at Bible Time Tliose attending the Fellowship continued to benefit from preaching of the Word delivered by those participating in the montlily preaching rota, namel! S Stinson, C Taylor and E Turley. This has o'ontinued to ensure a greater variety and richness of teacliing. In May 2023, the Fellowship hosted Gregg Henry from the Gospel Revolution Church in Louisiana USA. eJregg preached on two separate oco'asions, focussing on the love of Jesus and the impact of God on lives. These two sessions were a blessing to those in attendance. In January 2024, the group hosted Jol]n Gates in the Mourne County Hotel in Newry, as a visiting preacher. John shared a special message with those present, in relation to the impact Page | 2

that Jesiis has had on his life. Attendees were blessed by the rnessage of love and coinpassion shared by John. The teachings sh<ired by all of our speakers supported the fellowship to deliver on public benefit in respect of the advancemeiit of the Christian Faith (religion) and education. Discipleship Training The Discipleship training group continues to meet on Monday mornings via Zoom, to study the subject of Discipleship. The main objective of this group continues to be one of encoiiraging believers at Hope Fellowship Newy as they continue on tlieir spiritual journey to becoming more like Jesus. Attendees enjoyed the benefits of being able to share their personal revelatlons in respect of the bible verses they explored together. When a need was identified, members would take the opportunity to pray together for those with needs. This supported the fellowship to deliver on public benefit in respect of the advancement of the Cliristian Faith (religion), education, as well as the relief of those in need due to ill-health. Sunday Morning Testimony Sessions (Monthly) The Sunday morning meetings have continued to incorporate a monthly testimony time. This provides an opportunity for individuals within the fellowship to share the experiences of their journey into deeper relationship with God. The relaxed approach taken has facilitated and greatly strengthened the sense of love and deepening of Fellowship amongst those attending. This supported the fellowship to deliver on piiblic benefit in respect of the advancement of the Christian Faith (religion). education, as well as the relief of those in need due to ill- health. Prayer Group (Intercession) Meeting The prayer group continued to meet regularly each week on Thursdays. This provides an opportunity to spend a short tirne in worship and intercession for the needs of those associated with the Fellowship and for those the Fellowship come into contact with in the local community and further afield. Support of other Ministries Members of the Hope Fellowship Newry Trustees decided to provide financial support to a number of ministries during this annual reporting period. The Fellowship also provided some financial suppon E Turley to go on a Mission Trip to Uganda, where Evin spent time visiting a number of churches to share God's Word and to Prophesy with those in attendance. This supported the fellowship to deliver on public benefit in respect of the advancement of the Christian Faith (religion), education, as well as the relief of those in need diie to ill- health and financial hardship.   1. Financial Position Review (01 February 2023 to 31 January 2024) Financial Review Total receipts for the year amounted to £lJ92.00. The receipts were generated from Free Will Offerings and Gift Aid and activities, wbicb the FelloTrvship ran during the year. While the Fellowship has now been established for a number of years, it is noteworthy that the Covid Pandemic and the move of many of our meetings to a virtual platfo￿ rather than face to face meetings. has impacted on the level of offerings received. The cost of providing facilities for our meetings, together with the cost of speakers, is the major cost incurred during the reporting period. Reserves Policy The Fellowship was not established to build up cash reserves and therefore at the end of the year funds retained amounted to £24563.00. The Trustees are pleased that the fijnds have been used to further the aims of the Fellowship. Administrative Inforniation Hope Fellowship Charitable Trust Deed is registered and recognised by HM Revenue and Customs for the purpose of charitsble donations. The Charity Trustees consider that and audit is not required for the year (under section 65(9Xb) of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008 and that an Independent examination is needed. It also included consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you &s charity trustees concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true' and 'fair' view and the report is limited to those matters set out in the statement below.   1. Aims and Objectives (01 February 2024 to 31 January 2025). During the February 2024 to January. 20?5 period, Hope Fellowship Newry has and will continue to work to deliver on piiblic benefit in respect of the advanceinent of the Christian Faith (religion) and education, as well as the relief of those in need due to ill-health and financial hardship. This will be supported by: When appropriate, running outreach meetings during the year with visiting outside speakers in r)rder to minister to the needs of those within the Fellowship and to help meet the needs of the invited Speaker from outside of the Fellowship. This will include activel)I seeking opportunities to support believers in the area to come together and pray for the spread of the Kingdom in the locality, region and nation. Encouraging Fellowship mernbers to develop their teaching and preaching skills through opportunities for them to join the preaching rota. When preparing their message, meinbers are encour<1ged to access pre-prepared bible curriculum materials. Teaching on selected Books from the Bible, including exploring Bible Characters to deepen Fell()wship members understanding of how God the Father worked in and througli their lives. Providing Opportunities to yoiing aspiring preachers, to preach during the year in order for them to develop their preaching skills and for the Fellowship to be enriched by their more youthful approach. Providing opportunities on occasions, to young musicians. from outside of tlie Fellowship, to develop theii- worship leading skills by leading worship at tlie Fellowship from time to time and for the Fellowship to benefit from their fresh approaches to worship. Continuing to hold the Discipleship study group on Monday mornings to allow the Fellowship to becon]e more cffective in tenns of the Discipleship movement within and outside i)f the Fellowship, as well as providing opportunities to benefit the public. Identifying opportunities to widen the Fellowship's World mission vision by supporting those who would undertake Mission trips to Africa and other countries. Also taking opportunities for those who would engage in a Mission tiip, to then provide the Fellowship with feedback of their experiences. This sharing of the needs and challenges of the third world with member8 of the Fellowship, helps inembers to see how thL Fellowship can support their ministy through prayer and financial support. Continuing, as a priority, a rcgular prayer group to cover in prayer all the activities undertaken by tlie Fellowship and all the needs of the members, while at the same time providing an opportunity for members to compassionately focus on and pray for the Nation and the World Actively looking for opportunities to donate where appropriate, to local charities and worthy causes, in keeping with the vision, pU￿OSe and objects of the Fellowship.
