**Purposes:** The Museum is established to advance the education of the public in the heritage, history and development of sport in Ulster (hereinafter called “the area of benefit”) and in particular (but not exclusively) by:  a)	Providing exhibitions in furtherance of the objects throughout the area of benefit;  b)	Establishing, maintaining and operating a museum open to the public for the permanent exhibition and preservation of sports memorabilia and other items of educational, artistic and/or historic value of significance;  c)	Collecting, collating and archiving documents or other materials (in whatever medium) of educational, artistic and/or historic value or significance which shall be made available in the public domain and promoting the perusal and use of such material for research purposes.
