192J, Alplia Badminton Cliib, fotsnded in 1932, and Lisbum Raiquets Squash Club. founded in 1971. The sports
clLEbs hake a joint siibscripli021 collelled by Lisburii Racquets Club whose Trustees and Manag¢m¢iit Committee
are respoiisible for the financial n)aiiag¢nieiit of the Cliarity.
The thr¢e spoils cliibs are affilialed to their i"espek.tive Goveining Bodies and oper<ile under their giiidance
particularly as i"e8ards Child Safety- Alpha BadJninton Club and LisbLlrn Racquets Squabh Club have aihieved tlie
Cliibn12rkNI award. Men)bership of the Cliib is open to everyone witliout any restrictioiis. Meiiibersl)ip slai)ds at
appro.)Jiiiately 828 with aboLrt 500 being under-18. Most of tlie children and adLilts play more than one sport at
allocated tiines each week all year rouiid.
Governance
Lisburn Racqliets Cliib is gO￿¢m¢d under ils Riiles as well as general eniployiiienl and other legislation appli¥able
to Northem Ireland. Any proposed changes to the Coiiititulion or rules are subniitted to the AGM or an EGM. The
rules stale tl)at the Maiiagciiieiit Coiniiiittre is appointed partly by the Triislees aiid partly by the Iliree Sports Club
Committees. The Board of Tr(Istees and die MHnageiiient Coniniittee siipervise aiid coiitiol the finaiiues of the
sports cliibs and are also r¢sponsible for the day to day funclioniiig of the RacqLiels Club and tlie repair and
mainleIiai)ce of its facilities.
The three sports clubs appoint sub-coininittees whose main purpose if the advaiikneiiient ￿]d n)ana8eii)¢iit of their
own ra¥guets spoit in coi)siiltatioii with the Triisleeb aiid Manageineiit Committee. The sports clubs, adInini51t41ion
is guided by their Sports GO￿erni1]g Bodies particiilarly COllkneriiii)g Child Care aiid the qualifiuatioii of coa¥li¢s.
