## **Newtownbutler Playgroup Ltd Annual Report 2024/2025** 

## **Report from Chairperson** 

I would like to welcome you all here this evening to our Annual General Meeting. 

We had another busy year last year. We would like to thank Michelle McGrory Manager for her dedication and also to the other Staff Members.  The playgroup is going from strength to strength each year 

## **Admissions** 

We have 31 PEAG children and 24 part-time children attending the playgroup this year. We have to operate 2 sessions daily to accommodate the numbers which means we need 1 member of staff per 8 children. We have 7 member’s of staff employed in the Pre-School Room and the Pre Pre School Room. This puts a lot of pressure on our financial situation. 

We secured funding to develop part of our Outdoor area that needed attention. We will look for further funding to develop others area’s when funding becomes available. 

We hope to secure funding for the Pathway Fund, apply for special needs funding, Resources/Running costs and further develop our outdoor area. Parent involvement is an essential element contributing to the success of a community playgroup. 

We have 24 children attending our Eager and Able to Learn Programme (2-3 year olds).  Social Services have increased our intake from 10 per session to 12 per session on the Eager and Able to Learn programme. 

## **Grant Applications** 

As we are a voluntary group we rely on funding from various grant sources 

## **Inspection** 

We are inspected by the Department of Education for Northern Ireland and we are required to follow and implement the Curriculum Guidance for Pre-School Education. 

We are also registered with Western Health and Social Care Trust. 

## **Conclusion** 

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff on behalf of the committee for their dedication to the children and the playgroup and for all the hard work they have put in over the year. I would also like to thank the other members of the committee for their hard work and willingness throughout the year.
