Appointment of Trustees
Trustees are elected annually by CRAIC members at the AGM, with provisions for co-option. Chair, Vice Chair, and Treasurer are elected by the Board and may serve a maximum of three consecutive years as Chair.
Governance and Organisation

Board meets at least nine times per year.

Subcommittees for finance, HR, and development meet monthly.

Trustees operate in line with Charity Commission public benefit guidance.
Purpose and Activities
CRAIC promotes arts and creative participation in Coalisland and surrounding areas. Key aims:

Provide and encourage arts including drama, music, dance, visual arts, and literature.

Engage young people to provide positive alternatives to alcohol and drug culture.

Enhance participants’ physical and emotional wellbeing.
Activities:

Stage performances (amateur and professional).

Youth Academy in drama, singing, dance, and digital arts.

Volunteer-led projects and community engagement.
Achievements

Produced four shows and hosted touring performances.

Solar panels continue to offset rising energy costs.

Strong community participation and high-quality performances.
Financial Review

Pricing kept low to ensure accessibility; prices remained static.

Funded by Arts Council NI, Mid Ulster District Council, sponsorships, and community support.

Reserves maintained at approximately eight months of operating costs.

LED lighting upgrade ongoing to improve efficiency and comply with regulations.
Future Plans

Monitor funding and operational challenges to maintain sustainability.

Develop new initiatives and social enterprise opportunities.

Strengthen community engagement, marketing, and partnerships.

Continue high-quality arts programming, with focus on young people and wellbeing.
Chair’s Report
This year, CRAIC delivered a diverse programme of arts and entertainment, engaging audiences of all ages. We thank our sponsors, funders, volunteers, theatre staff, and young participants for their invaluable support.
The creativity, dedication, and technical excellence of our community have made this year a success. Here’s to another exciting year ahead!
