## Activities

**Purposes:** The Society is established to promote arts and culture in our community relating to but nit specifically the 36th Ulster Division and in doing so we will advance education, promote the culture and arts and to promote the benefit of celebrating and remembering to the people of Northern Ireland (hereinafter called the “area of benefit”) by the provision of facilities in the interests of arts and culture for recreation or other leisure-time occupation of people in the area of benefit who are in need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, disability or social or economic circumstances and in particular to:                      a)	encourage appreciation for and participation in community-based activities in arts and culture in the area of benefit;  b)	advance arts and culture and promote awareness of history, folklore and cultural heritage of the 36th Ulster Division and other indigenous cultures.
