Bushmills Residents & Environmental Forum Forthe year ended 31 March 2024 Trustees Report Bushmills Residents & Environmental Forum is set up to advance communitydevelopment promote active citizenship and enhance community spirit by organising events and programmes which bring residents from the whole village together. We also work to improve the housing. social and environmental conditions for the residents. In setting our objectives and planning our activities forthe yearthe trustees have given careful consideration to the Charity Commission Nl's guidance on public benefitto ensure thatthe activities have helped to achieve the charity's purpose and provide a benefitto the beneficiaries. Unfortunately. due to lack of funding ancl circumstances outside the control of the charity no events or projects were ran between 01 April 2023 and 2024. The trustees are actively applying forfunding and are hopingthat projects and events will commence again during the period 01 April 24 to 31 March 25. During the financial period 01104123-31103124 no fundingwas secured and no payments were made. The bank balance at the 31 M8rch 2024 was nil. Bushmilis Residents & Envlronmentsi Forum For the year ended 31 March 2024 Independent Examiners Report I have carried out an independent examination of the accounts of Bushmills Residents & Environmental Forum for the year ended 31 March 2024. Respective responsibilities of Trustees and Examiner As the charity's trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the Charities Act (Nl) 2008. It is my responsibility to: examine the accounts under section 65 of the Charities Act to follow the procedures laid down in the general directions given by the Charity Commission under section 65 {9)(b) of the Charities Act state whether particular matters have come to my attention Basis of Independent Examiner's statement I have examined your charity accounts as required under section 65 of the Charities Act and an examination was carrled out in accordance with the general directions given by the Charity Commission Nl under section 65 (9)(b} of the Charities Act. The examination included a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also included consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from you as charitytrustees concerning any such matters. As the Independent Examiner my role is to state whether any material matters have come to my attention giving cause to believe That accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 63 of the Charities Act That the accounts do not accord with those accounting records That the accounts do not complywith the accounting requirements of the Charities Act That there is further information needed for a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached Page 4
