Bushmills Residents & Environmental Forum For the year ended 31 March 2023 Trustees Report Bushmills Residents & Environmental Forum is set up to advance community development promote active citizenship and enhance community spirit by organising events and programmes which bring residents from the Whole village together. We also work to improve the housing, social and environmental conditions forthe residents. In setting our objectives and planning our activities for the yearthe trustees have given careful consideration to the Charity Commission Nl's guidance on public benefit to ensure thatthe activities have helped to achieve the ch8rity's purpose and provide a benefit to the beneficiarie-o Unfortunately. due to lack of funding and circumstances outside the control of the charity no events or projects were ran between 01 April 2022 and 2023. Duringthe financial period 01104/22- 31103123 no fundingwas secured and no payments were made. The bank balance at the 31 March 2023 was nil. Bushmills Residents & Environmental Forum For the year ended 31 March 2023 Independent Examlners Report I have carried out an independent examination of the accounts of Bushmills Residents & Environmental Forum for the year ended 31 March 2023. Respectlve responslbllitles of Trustees and Examiner As the charity's trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the Charities Act (Nl) 2008. It is my responsibility to: examine the accounts under section 65 of the Charities Act to follow the procedures laid down in the general directions given by the Charity Commission under section 65 (9)(b} of the Charities Act state whether particular matters have come to my attention Basls of Independent Examlner's statement I have examined your charity accounts as required under section 65 of the Charities Act and an examination was carried out in accordance with the general directions given by the Charity Commission Nl under section 65 (9)(b) of the Charities Act. The examination included a review of the accounting records kept byth8 charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also included consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from you as charity trustees concerning any such matters. As the Independent Examiner my role is to state whether any material matters have come to my attention giving cause to believe That accounting record8 were not kept in accordance with section 63 of the Charities Act That the accounts do not accord with those accounting records That the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of the Charities Act That there is further information needed for a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached Page 4
